Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
dead money, your name sums it up.

Actually, the long article was DEFENDING Bitcoin, lots of traditional money thinkers can't see crypto.

The future on Crypto currencies is unfolding before our eyes.

Me, I am 68 and like to fondle monetary things I can see.....Gold, silver, Crisp Benjamins.....

I pay cash at the grocery store and watch clueless "Snowflakes" put a $2.00 energy drink on a card....if cards ever got shut down or interrupted, gonna be a lot of hungry folks...:popcorn2

Woodson can you give us a simple buying STRAT or DGB for dummies.
I know you're busy but a simple tutorial step by step would be greatly appreciated.
If we happen to become wealthy off these investments you won't be forgotten ! :0008

Bobby, xrp and STR about to go for All Time Highs. STR to 2700 for sure

Thanks woody

I didn't get in when I should have. Got too busy working and wife wasn't motivated to set it up. I'm in now, but haven't made the $300k I should have. But I received something more valuable: $300k of lost profits to hold over her head for the rest of my days.

Trying to learn as much as I can now and trying to move my stuff to poloniex as it seems that's where the action is.

thabks for all your help.

Real quick question here. I opened Poloniex. I clicked on deposits/withdrawals, scrolled down to STRAT and clicked deposit and it gave me an address. Is that the address I send my bitcoin to for whatever amount?

I think I'm supposed to send BTC as a deposit first then go buy whatever from my BTC balance. I better slow down before I mess things up.

Your second post is correct. In Poloniex go to deposits/withdrawals for BTC, use that address to send to from Coinbase.

Once your BTC get into your account at poloniex, you can then make the exchange from BTC to STRAT.

When does it show up? I have nothing showing in my history.

Click on Exchange

Then on the markets tab to the right choose what you want to buy.

Scroll down and there are 3 boxes: Buy/Stop Limit/Sell

Inside the buy box it will say you have: xxxx BTC

Once your deposit goes through that will obviously go from 0-whatever you deposited

This shit is crazy just watched as DGB went up like 20% in a few minutes. I feel like a mouse hitting the button for crack, just watching the numbers spinning in circles.

Damn I wish I didn't have to wait so long for the bank ACH to clear.

I only sent $1400 for starters and bought $700 DGB and $700 STRAT. Now what? I have to figure out this cold storage stuff. It seems so secure that I would probably lose the ability to get my money.

Each exchange has its own rules as to how many confirmations are necessary to clear a process.

As a general rule, it is more secure to not keep your holdings on any of the exchanges. If you are trading in and out, then this is more difficult due to transfer fees and time. If you are holding any coins for the long term, I recommend getting on hardware.

This is a solid (but not the only) choice for the major currencies: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/ledger-nano-s

Helpful information here about security with cryptocurrencies.

http://avc.com/2017/06/getting-hacked-lessons-learned/

One thing is that if you are in this for the gamble speculation, then you will likely continually be at risk as the easiest way to have funds available is to have them on exchanges.

Coinbase is known as being one of the "safest" but it is also vulnerable (see Cody's story). But following the rules of the above post will keep you "safer"

The other major problem with Coinbase is that it is limited to 3 coins (BTC, ETH, and LTC) at the moment. I use Poloniex and Kraken to trade other coins.
