$1,745 on Coinbase. Crazy stuff, I'm thinking buying some gold with some of mine but don't want to miss out any gains. Bitcoin is up almost $1,000 since the thread started.x26:

Gold is a little over $1200 for a pure ounce...

You could cash that digital stuff for an ounce and a half of pure 24Kt gold coins.

You can physically fondle the gold which has a 2500 year human history as REAL money.

:00x23

You can buy gold with the paper money you have too, and fondle it all you want, but make purchases with it by pressing a button or accept money for it by pressing a button ain't happening.

I regularly use bitcoin by making purchases and accepting payments so i NEED it and wouldn't know what I would do without it at this point. Do you use a bank? This is more convenient than a bank for me, but I use banks as well.

I didn't buy bitcoin for an investment...it just happened to gain in value. By A LOT! :em71:

But if I hold my bitcoin another week I can get 2 ounce of pure 24kt gold coins. Or what until next month and get 2.5 ounces:shrug:

I'll go with his overall record over the last 50 years.
I really don't think the majority here are using bitcoin as a major investment. They are using it as a tool, like Neteller, for moving funds between books, poker rooms, and home. Meanwhile a lot of people using this vehicle for gambling have made a considerable amount of money because of the gains.

If I didn't use it multiple times every single week since last August I wouldn't need it either.
