OZ was 100 times better then the Sopranos. Just making the point that so many people blow their load when they talk about Sopranos.

Although I must say, any show with a naked dead girl from 1920 with a hairy bush no less, has potential.

Of course if Boardwalk Empire took place in OZ, that girl would have been fucked by Simon Adebisi. Dead or not, he would have been "on that".

Yeah, yeah, whatever, I think you're just seeing things through your Canadian-colored glasses again. :SIB

Breaking Bad, the first episode - I could see right thorough the acting - fucking horrible.

If you gave up on Breaking Bad after one episode then you have zero patience.

Last season had some serious intense episodes and no show leaves you with better cliffhangers to end seasons than Breaking Bad.
But to each their own which is why tv shows like Full House last 8 years on tv.

I guess Joker expected AMC to get Sean Connery to play lead in Breaking Bad and Meryl Streep as his wife.

I love that show. It's been a while since I watched the first season, but it does seem like it may have gotten off to a slow start. That said, the last season I watched (I think it was season 3) was by far my favorite. I was happy to see that Jesse kid win Best Supporting Actor. He deserved it.

Yep the show wins awards and gets best supporting actor yet Joker says the acting was horrible.

I guess some people prefer the talents of Don Knots the Three's Company years or Larry to be entertained.

Easy, now. I like Breaking Bad, but I also appreciate the comedic genius of Mr. Furley and Larry. :142smilie

Oh, and I guess Bryan Cranston is the first guy in over 40 years to win the Best Actor Emmy 3 years in a row? He's come a long way since the Malcolm in the Middle dad and the anti-dentite Dr. Whatley in Seinfeld. :0002

the sopranos was character driven...the casting was the best i`ve ever seen in any show....and gandolfini as the focal point was just amazing...as was ian mcshane in deadwood...

yes, some shows were less than stellar...but you were hooked by the characters...you wanted to know what happened next....

i like steve buscemi....not sure i like him in this...not sure he fits here....

and they have to lose that italian manservant guy "coming into the room at inopportune moments" schtick.....thats pretty much worn thin already...

not saying boardwalk was bad....i think it`ll get better...

You've got to give it a little more than 1 episode to develop characters. It takes time. They did a good job with Jimmy.

I was reading that Buscemi will seem like an odd choice until about the 6th episode, when you realize he was the perfect fit for the role.
