I have standards.

The Emmy Awards people would say the same thing.

Breaking Bad has won 6 Emmy's and 6 other awards for a show buried on AMC.

Giving up on a show after 1 episode is not standards. It is lack of patience.
Like I said, to each their own but you are missing out of edgy,suspenseful,quality show just because you gave up on it 1 episode in.

If I did that then I would be done with Boardwalk Empire already.

Wait, wait, wait, if I'm not mistaken you're the guy who likes cheesy horror movies and you just said that Empire Records was an underrated movie in another thread. But you can't watch Breaking Bad because you think the acting is bad? :shrug:

Joker knows we are just busting his balls, but I will say the only person who wins are those who watch Breaking Bad.

As for Boardwalk Empire, it had a nice(not great) start. As said by someone else already, not sure Buschemi is the right guy for the role and I like him as well.

I guess HBO was pleased with episode 1 returns as they have already picked up the show for season 2.

I guess 7.1 million viewers on HBO will do it. :scared

Let me clarify. I am shuting it down for watching it week by week. I will go back and watch once the season is over.
That way I can just waste one day instead of many.

couple opinions and comments from this thread

want to get into boardwalk, but it's been pretty slow so far

soprano's was a great character driven show and was always intersted in the next episode

but

the wire was, by far, the best series on hbo (and ironically enough, omar is in this series!)
