117-112 is criminal and inconceivable

Funny thing. When I heard this last score I felt relived for a second for I thought there is no way mcdonnel won that wide.
On a board by the stream I watched, 7 out of 7 people got Napa as a clear winner.
I lost a lot but i feal like laughing. I think I capped that fight well.

I closed low @ -225 and -240 with -300's out there. Bout def had a stink to it. I needed McD but alot of late McD action brought my number down last 2 hrs b4 the fight.

I think the Brit In Progress wagering could be playing role in some of the recent bad scoring overseas. That's 2 big dogs and a draw in last 2 months. As much as I thought Napa won, leaving that IP up after RD 11 & 12 at 50-1 was just dumb. Those books deserved to get stung.

Wow, what a weird night, and what a weird fight!

The live betting odds on McDonnell were really all over the place.

I was watching the fight, and I thought it was fairly competetive, though I must admit I talked to my cousin on the phone and had like 6 other windows open so I was a little distracted...

anyways...the odds were just too good to pass up even though I thought they would give Napa the benefit of the doubt.

:0corn :)

I agree 100%. I am no conspiracy theorist. I don't believe in aliens, Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny.

But screw it - these books in England are dipping their dirty fingers on these cards.

I also think punch could be right - Parris is probably just an old racist bastard (who can be bought cheaply)

What's your take?

What's your take?

got an opinion on which way to go, Ghost?

409 Gamboa wins inside distance -235
9:50PM 410 Not Gamboa inside distance +195

( I'm thinking no. 409. That was a powerful punching engine once upon a time. But, think I may be better off tailing ya.)

Sorry for you guys that lost on Napa. As Ghost alluded to, serious consideration needs to be given for wagers placed on UK fights.

On the brighter side, Mack/Johnson is now a go for Feb 5th ESPN! Props to ESPN for snagging this one that nearly got away. It's a pick em fight for me. Gonna be interesting to see how the line comes out.

Tamara should go the route

Tamara should go the route

The "Hawaiian Punch" has a bit of a tough cookie on his hands in Carlos Tamara. Tamara has some reach , can box and is tough. He has only lost to top guys, all decisions, and is still a young man. Tamara did have to shed a half pound but that shouldn't be too much of an issue. I figure Viloria should get the nod in the Philippines but I expect a tough, close fight. Tamara seems like the type of guy that has given Brain fits throughout his career and Tamara has fought some iron at 112. This is at 108. Pick is Viloria by close , possibly controversial decision.

was seriously thinking about tamara...hoping that viloria reverted back to his old form(winding down in long hard fights)....

and as i type this i see a +525....i can`t resist throwing away a case of beer on the dog...

Yeah, why not. I think his Solis win is a bit overrated. I don't think Solis was that special and Viloria simply ground him down. Tamara might have a tough road in the Philippines but I think he has the goods to trouble Viloria. Although, in spite of Viloria's flaws he seems to have a solid beard and if it goes the route Tamara probably won't get any favors. But circling back to the beginning, Tamara has value and a small play is reasonable.

i`m not saying that tamara has enough to win...i don`t expect to catch lightning in a bottle here....

but...if you look closely at viloria`s record since the romero/sosa problems he had....he`s been matched verrrry carefully....

with the exception of his big win over solis, the guys he fought since his rough patch(the ones with relatively impressive records) were on losing streaks...

it`s ashamed that we weren`t getting a little better than tamara here....but,who knows?...it isn`t costing much to roll the bones...

Hey madmen!!

I think I may have found us a stream for the Viloria fight. They're showing an undercard bout now. Not great quality but so far so good. Could be a while too, blog says they'll probably show Jimrex Jaca fight, then Nietes, then Viloria.

I'm on the over for Viloria/Tamara -120 11 1/2. Just a few bucks. Barring a cut, this one goes rds. Of course Viloria can always end it w/one well placed shot but going the dist with segura and not flinching makes this a good buy. Thx Quanah for pointing that one out...win or lose. Good luck!

took a small shot at maidana at + odds vs khan in the states....

khan has to be very careful....he doesn`t want to get into a firefight with maidana...

i know some will disagree...i have to check back to see how many times khan fought decent opposition outside the u.k.

looks from here like those weights are bass-ackwards.....

does mtagwa look bigger because he`s darker complected?...hard to believe that gamboa is around 4 pounds heavier....:mj03:

The weight extra weight looks to be in the shoulders and upper back of Gamboa
