Congratulations Quanah! Congratulations Romi! Very good pick, and most importantly good result.
Man, it looked like over was hitting without a hitch. It hit, but man... hope there is no issue with the grading.

Official time was 1:45 of 12th!!!

Good news

Good news

It looks like Viloria is OK. Read that all his tests were good and he did NOT need surgery. Looks like 1 or 2 days of rest in the hospital and he'll be released.

another crazy result! :scared

I guess Viloria wasnt 100% for this fight and just wore himself out...he looked so strong against Ulises!

Hope he is ok!

its 9am in the Philippines right now
which means the Viloria fight should be in a few hours
not sure if there will be any way to view it though

also heads up for those McCall backers
boxrec listing the opponent as TBA
wagers are probably gonna be held or cancelled

surprise surprise

I thought the fight wasn't going to be until today (US time zone). Without your post, I would not have placed the wager last night and would have missed the deadline. Muchos gracias :toast: .

I guess McCall was scrapped. The line opened @-2500 somewhere and I saw it move to -600 @ dimes.

Glad to see Viloria is OK. Mega props to those that hit the doggie on that one. I certainly didn't see Viloria losing by ko to Tamara but if anybody saw the Sosa fight, Viloria was in trouble late in that one.

Man, still givin thanks to the boxing gods for that win last night! That was an exciting one. A good win, but if that stoppage comes 16 seconds earlier, an entirely different story.

Hell of a fight by Tamara - dude has some extraordinary stamina, and seems to be finding himself as a fighter. He's exciting and I'll like watching him when he fights again.

Glad Viloria is okay.

Good fights tonight! Anyone know which fight will come first? My guess is Gamboa but I'm not sure.

I see both fights as potentially dangerous.

Theres seems to be a lot of love for JuanMa and Gamboa ITD.

Gamboa has looked sensational at times, but he fails to impress sometimes, he gets knocked down A LOT as well.
Mtagwa looked tough as nails in his last fight, I like his weight, he seems to be up.
I guess Gamboa gets a lat stoppage or wins a dec, but maybe Mtagwa is still there in the later rounds and can catch Gamboa.
There is also that small concern that Gamboa is having a little trouble keeping his weight down?.

As for JuanMa.

He?s coming off a pretty poor showing and he?s moving up a dvision to face a tough and very akward figter in Luevano?.he?s also a very wide fave? looks dangerous to me?.

BOL!!!

The blind judging continues wordwide apparently:

In what probably should have been a major upset and what turned out to be a dubious decision, local favorite Mahir Oral (27-2-2, 10 KOs) scored a controversial eight-round majority decision over extremely crude but determined to the same degree Italian Fabio Liggieri (11-5-4, 2 KOs). Surprisingly, two of three judges had it in favour of Oral with scores 78-76 and 77-76, while the third one scored the fight a draw 76-76. Fightnews saw it 78-75 ? for Liggieri, who should be proud of his performance tonight. Oral was previously ranked #11 by the WBC and #13 by the IBF at 160lb.

I watched the fight on eurosport. Italian has 5% of Oral's talent but gave 100%. Oral on the other hand should hang them up. He looked like he didn't want to be there. Ge gave spirited challenge to Abraham but looks ruined now.

As I write this I saw even worse decision on that same card. Ukranien HW beat German HW 8:0 in rounds with 2pts taken from him and he only gets a draw (2 judges had draw one German up).

Germany is even worse than England in scoring fights, but in Germany you can at least count on them screwing the visitor.

2010 doesn't look good regarding judging. We had less than a 15 fights and 20 of them were controversial decisions.
