"the bunker"
all kidding aside..i really am getting pissed at 5 dimes dragging their damned feet putting up combat sports lines(boxing in particular)....

they used to be leaders instead of followers.....

if joey`s out there,i`d like to know if he has any role in specifically posting 5 dimes lines and what the reason is that he/they are so untimely anymore.....

it`s not like they`re some small operation...since pinny closed the door on american customers, they have to be considered the big dog....

the timeliness of their weekly boxing lines for middle-rung caliber fights is embarrassing and annoying...

thanks..

Juan Manuel Lopez Under 7.5 -160- Large
Mtagwa's style is perfect for Lopez to take advantage of. This fight is going to be like watching a demolition derby. Lopez stops Mtagwa's motor within 6 rounds.

Solis Under 8.5 -135- Small
I would put more on this if I knew Solis was in the mid 240's, but Solis has not been in good shape since the amatuers. With Barret's age, poor chin, and taking the fight on short notice, I see Solis winning by knock out anytime he wants to.

Wish there were more lines like fridays Panamian fights, Vazquez, Guerrero, and Boystov, but I can't find much.

Good Luck Guys!:)

That's a great line on the Juan Ma UNDER
Now it is too high....but I don't see this going 3
Mtagwa is a club fighter with a lot of heart....face first style....all wrong against the Puerto Rican wrecking machine.....this is another Top Rank showcase....JC Chavez Jr got a first round KO a few weeks back....this may be another 1 rounder....

Hasn't Pinny to all intents got out of boxing? No loss there to U.S. players, at least as far as boxing wagering is concerned.

Gamboa/Garcia UNDER 5 1/2 Rounds at -290.

I hate the juice on this bet but I will be shocked if it go's past 2 rounds.

Garcia has been dummied LOTS of times.

Good luck boys!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Any good dogs out there?

Any good dogs out there?

I want to find a good underdog to bet on, but all of the underdogs look like tomato cans compared to their opponents.

Hey Lord of Lunch which underdogs do you like?

I agree. I hit it for -260. Gamboa is going backwards if he doesn't get Garcia out early. Gamboa killed me for 2500 the 1st week in jan by not getting that guy out but I'll be surprised if this one goes many rds. Good luck!

im making a crazy-big play on Lopez under 7.5, -225.

as has been mentioned, Mtwaga is a winging brawler with a bad chin. if this goes 9rds, ill eat my own face.

ps has Dan Rafael made good on his promise to shave his head if May/Marq goes 1 million buys? what a clown

and i like Golota over Adamek, call me crazy.

My plays

Menzer-600: The venue is key here. This chick fought Menzer very very tough the last time and the cards should have been closer but the fight was and is in Germany. it took several rds for menzer to figure out her smaller opponent. Unless Mezer collapses, she wins.

Honsono -115: Strictly boxrec but honsono appears on the rise while enoki might be on a slow slide. Honsono 15-0 w/12 itd and Enoki is 2-2-1 in his last 5. One common opponent had Honsono winning wide while Enoki appeared to struggle a little.

Gamboa/garcia under -260: Gamboa SHOULD get it done here early.

a few parlays which include solis, gamboa, menzer, lopez, kentickian

Good luck everybody!

I like Hosono over Enoki in the only close fight of the weekend. This fight has a changing of the guard look about it. Enoki has been very unimpressive as of late, including dropping last fight against an unknown. Hosono seems to be faring much better against similiar-type competition. These domestic Japanese fights can be unpredictable, but at even money Hosono looks to be the upswing fighter here.

Other than that, there looks to be some mismatches out there. Big parlays can bite you, but the odds are high here, and fights look like little more than exhibitions. I've got a 5-way with Cleverly, Nishioka, Lopez, Gamboa, and Kentikian and/or Menzer. This gets approx. -190 and is my major play of the weekend. The chicks in Germany make me just a little nervous, but I think they will be fine. UD win for both of them.

Other than that, just some small wagers on the Nishioka and Cleverly fights to go under. Both opponents will be outclassed here, and both of these favorites are punching much harder as of late.

Good luck all!

Doesn't look like a doggy weekend to me matt

Hard to imagine any of these guys losing....almost everyone is a showcase bout....Nishioka in a homecoming....Gamboa and Juanma looking toward a future bout....Linares just signed with Golden Boy.....Solis against an old, late notice Barrett.....all look like winners to me

Good luck NJ. Not attempting to steer you away from a big dog play, but I'll be pretty shocked to see the big oaf pull it off. The guy has some genuine talent but he simply cannot fight under ANY adversity. He just collapses mentally EVERY time. He had both fights v Bowe in the bank but Bowe was hurting him so he nailed him in the nuts about 20 times. Samson Pouha drilled him and Golota bit him. Grant dropped him in a fight he was dominating and he simply quit. He did well early v Byrd and Ruiz but he faded badly in both fights. Ray Austin dropped him in 1 in his last go. He may have some talent, size and pop but no chin and no heart and he's 40. I have Adamek to finish a parlay at good + odds but no scalp for me.

Hi matt,

I totally agree with you this is NO dog weekend.

For until so far it is some parlays inlc.
Cleverly -850/ Susi WPTS -185 / Menzer -500

and some double chances...

On the dogs, I got +3000 (Fry by KO, TKO or DQ)
just a few bugs... as I do not think this is going to happen but in +3000 I think there is some value.

But let's wait and see as a lot of lines are still not published at some books, maybe there will be some more value bets on dogs...?

Cheers

German women boxing is pretty crooked, so I think everybody who takes Menzer or Susi or both should be save. The Menzer fight will most probably go over, Susi can punch a bit, but she hasnt shown that much power since she stepped up her comp, so a decision win looks like the likeliest result here.

Cleverly and Adamek should win their fights and at -900 and -333 I see them as decent parlay material.

Lopez and Gamboa should win under for reasons mentionned here before, but I dont like the lines....well, maybe a small play.

No dogs this week. :(

thx for the input Romi, for me it's about the size. You're right about Golota's mental shortcomings, all 35 of them, but he's so much bigger and if there was ever a fight to pull himself together, it's this one, in Poland. On talent and chin alone I think he can hang in there and be the stronger man down the stretch, I can't believe Adamek to be too strong of a heavy if he made LHW at one point. Golota needs a comfort level, and Adamek might be too small and too patient to make him fold early.

At +360, I think he's worth a small play.

Thanks LotL and Ghost Kid. Kind of figured their were no dogs this week, but with all the high chalk thought it was worth a shot to ask.

Good luck today and tomorrow everyone!
