The big superfight is over. Pacquiao is King.

But next week there is still some great boxing.

Thursday Breidis Prescott returns in Colombia and Nico Concepcion fights in Panama.

Friday Rendall Munroe defends in the UK and Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. fights in Florida, USA.

Saturday is stacked:

Ward vs. Kessler in the final first round bout of the SUPER SIX.

A HUGE card in Germany with 4 big fights, headlined by Erdei vs. Fragomeni.

Little dynamo Marvin Sonsona fights in Canada, defending his newly won title.

Marcos Maidana has his well-deserved home-coming fight in Argentina.

And 3 BIG fights all across Mexico:
Cristobal Cruz (39-11) vs. Ricardo Castillo (38-7)
Edgar Sosa (37-5) vs. Rodel Mayol (25-4-1)
Giovanni Segura (21-1-1) vs. Sonny Boy Jaro (30-7-5)

Big big weekend if you are true boxing fan!

wow, nice week!

I didnt realize we would have that much action!

Ward vs. Kessler is a good fight.

I'm still a bit surprised that Erdei moves up to CW...even as a LHW he didnt look ripped.

Well Fella's. It's been a blast but I'm out.

6 losing weeks in a row but 4 of them due to Fucked up judging.

I should be up a fortune but instead I am down a year for the first time in years.

Vera to beat Couture was my HUGE bet for the week and it has turned out to be the last straw for me.

Good Luck Lads!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Hang in there, Paulie
You have a wealth of knowledge in the fight game, and it will serve you when the right time comes
Just bet sure things for a little while.

I could not agree more!
Paulie I think your ideas and views are very welcome to all of us.

e.g. You made me play McD this weekend.

I hope boxing/mma will get better for you soon.

hey wee, you're a good capper.
I think most of us had some rough moments this year.

The best move probably is to just bet the safe things, but I know this can be very hard.

I'm sure you will be back! :toast:

Pauli, shoot me an email if you have still my address brother. I can't find yours. I understand when you need to take a break from this. Don't even need to tell you that you are a hell of a capper. It's one thing to lose but when the fucked up judges take it away from you then it just kind of gnaws at you. No doubt in my mind you will be back. :toast:

This post saddens me more than any other.
Weepaul, I basically learned how to cap from you and a few others over the last few years.
You have given me great advice and support when times were bad.
Your Amir Khan tip against Barrera basically fed my family for a month.

I hate this - this crap with the judges has to stop.
Froch-Dirrell, Botha-Carrion, Machida-Rua, Vera-Couture. All wins for you that these fuking bastards stole - and it goes beyond ineptness. I used to never believe in this shit, but money drives the fight game. People are influencing these cards. COUTURE LOST THE FUKING FIGHT ! HE DIDN'T DO SHIT ! They are taking money out of our pockets and I can't take it.

I could back further to Valentine's Day this year. When Cintron got KO'ed by Sergio Martinez, they let him rest, and then the 3 blind mice give him a DRAW. 2 idiots even had Glen Johnson within a round of a draw with Dawson last weekend. MMA and Boxing judges have cost me between 7 and 8 thousand dollars this year (I am too lazy to add it up exactly). I had a G on Vera alone. I'm sure you have been fuked for even more cash than me, Paulie.

I don't know what to say. I hope to see you when times are better next year. You deserve much better my brother.
Keep your head up dude. I wish you nothing but the best in life - you are a true soldier. The game has done you wrong.

Paulie; remember what you told Ghost when he was on the ropes. Take it easy; step back and maybe just make one good play, if any, for the week until you right the ship. It's OK NOT to make a bet and still feel good about yourself.

It's OK NOT to make a bet and still feel good about yourself.

Who needs Dr. Phil when we have Dr. Frank. This isn't fool proof but also helps me feel good about myself- a daily affirmation that I learned from my past shrink- Dr. Stuart Smalley. Before you start your day, look in that morning mirror and go - "I?m good enough, I?m smart enough, and dog-gone it, people like me".

Take a round off Paul and don't think about betting for a while. Forcing things in gambling when you don't feels like it is never a good thing.

Of course you'll be back soon. Why wouldn't you? You're excellent capper (I can?t stress enough how much I appreciate your opinion), you make money out of it and it is fun. You're having trouble with the fun part right now so lay back. For every shit decision in boxing or mma that went against me I can think of similar case where inept/crocked judges have helped me (I was on Vera, but I was on Machida also). You had a bad streak of shit decisions and those happens but give it a longer time period it will even out. That's the way things works in this universe. Yust give it a time.

"the bunker"
i know the feeling,dude...been my worst year since i started internet gambling...had to break my streak of not depositing(not saying i was withdrawing hand over fist, but i took pride in not seeing the morons at the local grocery store/western union for several years).......

you can still voice an opinion on occasion...enjoy hearing your slant and the give and take...hate losing guys that can be disagreed with without them throwing a hissy and pouting(or leaving)...

you`re a good egg....keep weighing in with opinions...this shit`s cyclical...it`ll come back...

Thanks for the kind words Fella's :toast:

At the start of every year, I usually give myself a starting bankroll of $10,000 with the rule that if I lose it, that is me done for the year.

I have not lost my starting bankroll yet but the way the judges decisions are going against me, it is not a good year so I will take a small loss for the first time and start fresh on January.

I will still give my input but I just won't bet. Usually when I don't bet, I turn up a shitload of winners :mj07:

Unlike some others, I am very unlucky when betting. Shit decisions just don't go my way.

I have broke a few of my own rules this year-

Don't bet on fights you are unsure of.

Don't bet big on MMA.

Don't bet sports you don't know.

NEVER CHASE!!!

NEVER CHASE WHILE DRUNK!!!

I will be saving this thread and looking at it in January.

Good luck to the best Cappers I have had the good fortune of running into on the net. my Madjack Brothers!!!

Hey Weepaul

In the short time I've been here, I find myself looking for and trusting your posts and opinions. You are one of the best boxing cappers here. You always back your picks up with sound reasoning... In a nutshell, it's obvious to see that you know your shit.

You know well if you need to stop for awhile...if frustration starts spilling over into life, etc. It's time for a break. I've had many of the same picks as you recently (Dirrell, Cotto... I was even on Vera, and almost never touch MMA) I've had a horrible year as well... So you do what you got to do my friend... But win, lose, or shitty decision...your opinions are always welcome.

Just took Sartison @ -300 at 5d for 4u .
He is boxing against Bozic. I know for a fact that Bozic got a call 35 days before fight and than the whole show was moved to 1 week earlier giving him less than a month to train.
Bozic got a call in Vegas where he was living for a month or so and trying to get a non boxing related job. He has Intercontinental title but couldn't get a fight this year.
He is 35 and was not working out till he got a call. Since then he trains in some amateur club in Vegas with new trainer because he is not on speaking terms with his brother who used to train him. BTW His wife left him at the beginning of the year.
Two years ago I spoke with his old trainer after he got KO in 2 rds by Tsypko. He told me that Bozic went for broke from the start because he was scared of Russian because in the amateurs he learned to respect technique of eastern schooled boxers. Anyway, Bozic is intelligent guy and he knows that they pick him to lose, but in the ring he is too emotional and feather fisted to succeed on highest level.
He won?t stop the guy and he will not earn or get a decision.

I believe this is a great pick , got him at - 250 . Saw Sartison twice live , he is no world beater but pretty solid . Don't know anything about his opponent but based on your info about him he doesn't seem like a fighter who could steal a decision in Germany against most likely superior fighter anyway .

great insight odf!

Have you seen anything from Sartison since he got knocked out by Kessler.
He is a well schooled boxer and he really shouldnt lose here, unless he is still suffering from the Kessler loss.

Sorry to hear that Paul, though I understand exactly how you feel. You're unfortunate to be going against the promotional machine, and more often than not, they win.

You're a great capper and a cool guy to boot, we'd all be sorry to lose you, even for only the rest of the year.

I sent you an email.
