Many visiting fighters have won decisions in Germany, Romi ... Anselmo Moreno, Michel Sprott (twice), Cristian Sanavia (in a very close fight with Markus Beyer); Vivian Harris, Hugo Hernan Garay; Mads Larsen; Rudy Markussen (very close fight with Danilo Haussler); Jose Antonio Rivera; Eddie Chambers; Frederic Klose (very close fight with Michel Trabant); Virgil Hill; Julio Cesar Gonzalez ... Many others. ... If the fights are close today I wouldn't be surprised to see the verdicts go to the visitors. Dodgy decisions happen everywhere (Lewis-Holyfield I; Martinez-Cintron; maybe Sturm-Oscar).

Didn't intend to brush that one with such a wide stroke. A few dubious calls stick out for me and it's the wide scoring that is really frustrating to deal with. I thought Sturm got owned by Gevor but on the cards it wasn't even close...Valuev got several dubious calls. Abraham/Miranda I was flat out disgraceful. Where else does somebody get a several minute break when their jaw is hanging down? I'm fully aware that corruptness is EVERYWHERE but in my mind it kind of sticks out in Germany. I have also been on the receiving end of some dubious calls there. As you well know Graham, the venue is key in placing numerous wagers. It's not just the hometown fans that create an added advant. I didn't mean to imply that a foreigner cannot receive a just call there, but I do believe in more instances than not, that the hometown guy gets s an added advant on the cards. Appreciate your comments :toast:

btw. for those of you that hedge Kessler by playing Ward on points... you maybe want to spent a small amount on:

Ward A wins by MD 50/1

Cheers

Mayweather feeds the homeless

NAC9371.jpg

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation team was out today in Las Vegas, doling out 250 hot Thanksgiving meals to the homeless today, at Owens and Main Street. Though the champ was not present, Mayweather?s manager, Leonard Ellerbe, was part of the crew handing out meals. Ellerbe commented on Mayweather-Pacquiao negotiations, saying, ?Floyd has proved himself the undisputable champion and numbers don?t lie. If the fight happens, he deserves the lion?s share of the purse.? ? Chris Cozzone

If he can feed the homeless how come he can't hook Uncle Roger up with a new set of bicuspids.

Kessler looks worse than Pantera. Needs lightning in a bottle. don't think he'll get it.

Ward was impressive. Good call for the Ward players.

I MISSED the whole thing. Sitting down to watch the "live" fight and I just read that ward beats kess 11th rd tec dec :142smilie. Had a good week going and all down the drain on 1 fight. Congrats Ward backers...didnt see it but obviously didnt envision a dominating performance by ward.

BTW Fck direct tv on the wst coast!

It was so demoralizing I wouldn't be surprised if Kessler left the tourney.

Taylor should leave the tourney - his IQ is now in the mid double digits and he's on the verge of being scrambled.

Kessler wasn't really hurt in a "nearly getting knocked unconscious way" but I don't think he thought anyone could dominate him like that. He's probably more mentally frazzled than anything. Danes are too smart to let themselves get beat up on a regular basis.

Calzaghe smart to be gone, and he shouldn't come back.

Mayol takes Sosa?s WBC belt

Saturday night in Tuxtla Gutierrez in Chiappas, Mexico, Filipino challenger Rodel Mayol (25-4-1, 19 KOs) scored a second round TKO over longtime WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (37-5, 21 KOs), who was making his 11th defense (in 28 months). After Sosa was badly hurt by an unintentional headbutt, he was dropped again when action resumed and the referee waved it off moments later. Mayol was successful in his fifth attempt at a world title.

Well that doesn't feel good at all.....losing on a headbutt....fantastic......shit night for me....congrats Mayol backers.....got away with one...
