World boxing title fight off!

Mick Croucher of the World Boxing Foundation has called of a world title fight three hours before it was due to start at the Mdantsane Indoor Sports Centre on Friday night.

IBO mini-flyweight boxing champion Nkosinathi Joyi was set to defend his title against Lorenzo Trejo of Mexico. Ludumo Galada was due to square off against Pedro Navarrete while Lubabalo Msuthu and Jose Cabrera exchanged blows in the ring.

The cancellation of the fights come after allegations that Mexican fighters, officials and sanctioning fees have not been paid.

The fights were due to be screened live on SABC television on Friday night.

I got quite a bit of dough on Gonzo and Kirkland. Gonzo opened @-350 and I jumped all over that one. Kirkland was -500. I also got Bautista -350 which has since gone to -700. I put 3 hund on Tackie @ +odds. As long as Gonzo and Kirkland win, it will be a good week. I'll go with Ricky Hatton but not so sure I want to wager it. I believe he wins a dec. Your under can still be in action if ur book'sgot a 30 or 60 day rule.

I wouldnt be suprised if the card got pushed back a week or even a few days. Depends on how big the TV change will have and ultimately if they can find way to dig up the cash to pay the fees.

Santos to beat Tavecchio small at +600. This is a chick fight. Santos is undefeated but has fought shit competition. Tavecchio is undefeated as well but has only had 4 fights at 35 years old. This is a 10 rounder and none of them have been past 6 so, you never know.

Tavecchio wins by just 2 points on all 3 cards. That's a bummer!!!

I love Jhonny Gonzalez, really do, always cheered for him. A terrific tactician, precise punching, with power and great combos. It hurt as a fan watching his losses to Penalosa and Vasquez, considering he was dominating before being stopped.

He's knocking all these cats out within 4, should be a title shot soon!
