not too interested in Pavlik-Espino, but two intriguing undercard fights on the PPV:

Humberto Soto (49-7-2) vs. Jesus Chavez (44-6)
Nehomar Cermeno (17-0) vs. Alejandro Valdez (22-3-2)

Is this a split-site PPV ?

Just took Sosnowski @ -275 for 5u.

He is fighting Vidoz in London so he will be a "home" fighter as he is based in England. This bet is more against Vidoz than it is for Sosnowski. Last time I saw Vidoz he quit in between rounds in Italy against Skelton in a fight that was winnable for him. Fight was for EBU title and he clearly showed he didn't want it as much as Skelton did. He is 39 and I thought it will be his last fight. But as it seems that embarrassing showing and a later win against a guy with a total of 3 wins qualifies him for another shot at a European title. I saw Sos fight only once in his last fight as a visitor against Pianeta. Fight ended a draw. Had it been on neutral turf I guess Sos would win by a couple of points. He has a style to beat Vidoz at this stage. He comes in shape and is busy all 12 rounds. He would be troubled by a mover (he lost a lopsided decision against Zuri Lawrence) but Vidoz I think at 39 doesn't have legs to give him angels. So Sos is younger, at home, comes in shape and wants it more. Vidoz is more talented but I hope it won't be enough. Oh, and I like price I got, Sos is -350 on most places.

He was clearly out of shape and breathing heavily by the middle rounds against Skelton.

I tend to agree with you though, Sosnowski should win here, but I would like to know if Vidoz trained serously for this fight.

That is a very good price on Sos!
He seems the improving fighter here - I like it.

I concur. I got it for -300. Hard to bet on a guy that lost every rd to Zuri (Vidoz lost a closer one to Zuri) but as you mentioned Vidoz is not a mover. Vidoz is the better boxer but at 39 and having quit once in a winnable fight has me wagering Sos. Sos gave the prospect Pianeta all kinds of trouble and he fought hard for 12 rds. He also took Danny Williams' heart. I like Sos here. He's on the rize and Vidoz on the slide. Good luck!

CermenoArribaObregon410NF1.jpg

Venezuelan WBA interim bantamweight champion Nehomar Cerme?o arrived last night at the International Airport in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico to make his second defense against Alejandro ?Alex? Valdez on Saturday, December 19. Cermeno (18-0, 10 KOs) vs Valdez (22-3-3, 15 KOs) will be a stellar clash presented by Zanfer Promotions and Larsa Communications and will be televised throughout Mexico on TV Azteca and in the United States on pay-per-view.

Interesting 'off' week. Will be interesting to see what lines are offered, as there are a lot of 'in between' fights.

-I would like to see more odds offered from Russia/Ukraine/Poland, as they are these days having many high level and competitive fights. Hope to see odds on Lebedev vs. Ismailov and Baysangurov vs. Shabani this week.

-Most competitive fight of the weekend looks to be Cermeno vs. Valdez. Valdez had Montiel on the ropes and Cermeno with two upset wins vs. Mijares.

-Hasegawa needs to take on some top Bantams before his time passes by. He seems to be a great one, but how many fringe challengers before he steps it up? How about Hasegawa vs. Agbeko?

Monday Morning Buzz:
http://www.badlefthook.com/2009/12/14/1199616/fight-talks-bute-green-marquez

Potential Fights:
Lucian Bute vs. Allen Green
Juan Manual Marquez vs. Michael Katsidis
Tim Bradley vs. Victor Ortiz

Green has shown that he is actually yellow. He looked awful v Simms. A younger Simms may have very well taken Green out. I wouldn't give him much of a shot v Bute. And thank God Green wasn't part of the super 6.

Jmm/Kat is intriguing. Kat may be getting JMM at the perfect time. JMM is still marketable and a force but not the fighter he was. If Diaz can take him to the brink then Kat has a chance here. JMM will be favored but I give Kat a shot.

Ortiz' People want to take on Bradley??? The division is hot with prospects and they want to gun for the top dog??? After what Bradley showed us Sat night, I think it's a foolish move. A lot more fish to be fried b4 taking on the likes of Bradley. Brad is smart enough not to go toe to toe and IMO he boxes circles around this kid. Not a wise fight IMO. I think Brad would make it look easy.
