what`s your thinking on the concepcion/santiago under?........was thinking of going the other way and would like to hear a contrary rationale...

you`ve been going pretty good lately and i don`t want to buck the hot hand...

thanks much...:toast:

I watched film on both of these guys. Santiago throws a very high percentage of jabs. Alot of time he doubles and triples his straight left jab, but he drops his hand down everytime. Luevano saw this and nailed Santiago time and time again with his straight left. Bernabe gets good leverage with his left hooks and can slip jabs pretty well. So, I think that left hook will be open all night for Bernabe. Also, Santiago and Bernabe both are a little undisciplined and don't back down from brawls in order to prove their machismo or moxie. Santiago intially will try to outspeed Bernabe with the jab, but when Bernabe starts to slip it; Santiago will get hurt. Then the fight will turn into a brawl and Bernabe will be too strong for Santiago. This one looks like a war that should be over in the mid to late rounds.

Great insight and observation. I have to say you create a much better argument than I do. Best of luck to you!

Santiogo by dec +530 (5dimes)!?
Am I missing something!?

IMO its dangerous for Santiogo to go for a ko!

I actually like Concepsion in this fight...but this might be a hedge...

Hey Brain I like your thinking on Provo

I actually think he might get him out of there (late)
body shots
bad weight for Javi....old man is coming to the end of the road...

Maxboxing Preview:

"Result ? Although Provodnikov?s style seems to fit Jauregui, the kid looks too powerful for the Mexican veteran to engage. This leaves Jauregui with few options and little beside his toughness to get into the later rounds. I have a sneaking suspicion that Provodnikov is not as one-dimensional as footage suggests, and a slowing Jauregui will allow him to show this. If the fight does not end before four rounds, Provodnikov will begin to mix boxing with banging, extending the beating until the referee stops the fight in the last two rounds."

Provo ITD +250
Small
I think he can do it

also parlayed him straight to Cleverly and Nonito (before the odds wents nuts - now Clev and Donaire prices are a waste of time)

i never liked morel.....always thought he was an overprotected non-elite, light punching boxer....

look at the records of the guys he`s been put in with since castillo.....one guy was like 9-1 with around 5 draws in a row...lol...with the exception of the 8 round ruiz win, absolutely a group of guys that had fallen off the deep end...

then look at penalosa`s opposition in roughly the same time frame..

wish i knew what penalosa has left...

maybe morel can out-dance gerry...might be worth -105 to find out...

Daws-Cook underway...

Rd1
Nothing thru first 2 minutes. Cook lands huge right, staggers Daws. Pounding him up against ropes...Daws weathers storm.

10-9 Cook

I've watched like 6 weeks of those british Friday cards and favorite seems always to struggle . Really makes me want to start with betting on Cook and then lay off during the fight after around 4-5 rounds . I think Cook will start well there and odds will go up on Daws .

From 1.24 to 1.61 on Daws in 1 round :mj07:
