Thinking about the Pacquiao-Clottey fight... Clottey will have to let his hands go. He can not wait, and wait, and give rounds away in the process. He's got to stay right on top of Pacquiao, crowd and rough him up...

In Clottey's favor, I think he will be by far the biggest strongest opponent that Pacquiao has faced. He will be bigger than a junior middle by fight night. Pacquiao will probably put on just a few pounds. Pacquiao was 142 for De La Hoya and 138 for Hatton. Forcing Cotto to drop the extra weight bothered me, and I think it bothered Cotto too. Even at 147 he doesn't beat Manny, but the welter title is the welter title...you want to own that title, you got to fight at the weight. I'm pleased to see no weight restrictions for Clottey.

It is incredible how Manny has gotten faster and stronger with the weight. I do hope everything with him is on the up and up, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Tough to see Clottey winning, but bigger upsets have happened. Pacquiao's speed may be the deciding factor. Clottey's granite chin may help him, or maybe just cause him to take a worse beating. Overall, I think the odds are off here. Without the superstar factor, I would gauge this at about 3 to 1. At plus 5, I cannot help but place an entertaining wager on a very good Clottey.

Huck and the Donkey

" Team Richards has essentially guaranteed that this fight will end in a knockout - he's going for the KO, and if he doesn't get it, he'll get KOed trying. "

Good luck.

Huck will stop him for sure , simply he has no stamina go to more than 4-5 rounds , I don't think highly of Huck but this should get stopped once Richards slows down and Huck ties off on him . Could see a stoppage like his fight with Chazz Witherspoon where Richards is getting stopped without going down .

"Many of my fans have been wondering where I?ve been since my fight against Vitali Klitschko, so I just want to let them know that the Kingpin is back and looking to conqueror the heavyweight division in 2010. First off, most of you don?t realize that I suffered a torn bicep in the 2nr round of my fight against Vitali and still I was able to go the distance with a man who has stopped almost everyone that he?s been in there against. I make no excuses, my fight against Vitali wasn?t my best performance but I think that I showed that I belonged in the ring fighting for the world title. Vitali never layed hand on me, while I was able to bust him open. If I was at my best that night, who knows what might have happened?"

Huck lives around 120 miles away from me , I am very proud :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:
This is by FAR the worst division in boxing , that's not even funny . Speaking about Flores , he recently signed the contract with Shine Fights to do MMA :142smilie

i don`t mean to mock huck...the guy tries hard...a tough guy who gives 100%......

after looking at that division,he looks like he might be the cream of the crop as it stands(you could argue cunningham based on thier prior bout)....

don`t mean to be judgemental, but, richards looks like a sacrificial lamb here and ,imo, has no business sniffing a championship bout....in his last outing he won a split vs 9-10 harvey jolly in his hometown...

i could be wrong... ...

I've watched Richards's fight and he seems like a journeyman HW , I hear he walked around at over 260 lbs and now he is fighting 60 + lbs lighter . He was gassed going into the 4th round against a guy who was just as bad as him . Ref stopped it when Richards couldn't punch back eating tons of shots but he didn't get dropped . There is no way he makes it to distance , just no way . He will take shots to his giant head without punching back and ref will stop it .

As bad as Richards is, he could probably beat Blow Job Flores
Flores is the biggest fraud in boxing
can't wait to see him get demolished in MMA
what is he thinking?

Food for thought. The sharp madjacks cappers here may want to think twice before showing your hand too much before a line is even put out by the oddsmakers. I know for a fact that one of the sharper book managers looks thru here and obviously we know of one oddsmaker that spends time here. Maybe they had a rough or busy week and were bound to overlook sometihing....until stopping by here? Perhaps I'm completely wrong and giving us too much credit but could these type of posts influence the amount of rounds in an over/under. Opinions?

I like Castillo at +220
Gomez even though younger age wise, but lately he has a look of not durable fighter as he use to be.
Last fight he had good start but faded and I though Gomez was very lucky with early cut stoppage, if fight lasted just couple more rounds Karras would KO him.
What do you guys think about this fight?

I think you're right Punch. Better to play it close to the vest until we see the lines. It seems that we're able to move the lines, so if that's the case I think our opinions do matter to the bookmakers... Plus we're the best damn pack of boxing cappers on the web! :D Why wouldn't they take us into account...

You are right Punch, and very diplomatically worded if I may say so. The difference between making a winning or losing wager can come down to ONE piece of information. Sharp oddsmakers will be looking at many sources for tidbits of info, which is their job, before setting a line.

Been thinking that for awhile. Small bout sentiments should probably be quieted. O/U lines have been fucked for a long time and reasonable fights are simply ignored. This forum may need to go deeper underground.
