No, was not directed at you Brainiac, just the catalyst for bringing up a good point. We all can get a little loose a little early with our picks from time to time. I was asking about Sam Peter earlier, and no one responded...for good reason. Because the line ain't out yet.

It's just good to be mindful that the betting market for boxing is relatively small compared to some other sports... And that our opinions can actually sway the lines...

So, what do you think about the over unders in the Soto and Castillo fights?? :mj07:

Let's get'em this week Brain!

I think they all get knocked out within 4 rounds , maybe a double KO cuz they are on Pacquiao undercard :mj07: :142smilie
European bookies have had over/under odds for some of those fights for a while , these lazy bastards from sportsbook at 5dimes better get their lines out as well :box2:
Alexander Povetkin - 4500 on 5dimes :scared :142smilie

I like Castillo at +220
Gomez even though younger age wise, but lately he has a look of not durable fighter as he use to be.
Last fight he had good start but faded and I though Gomez was very lucky with early cut stoppage, if fight lasted just couple more rounds Karras would KO him.
What do you guys think about this fight?

Castillo seems close to shot to me. I agree with your take on Gomez-Karras fight, but I think both of those guys beat Castillo now.

So Manny is now -641 against the guy who will outweigh him 20lbs by the time of the fight.
I think this is crazy but I'm not sure that it isn't correct line at the same time.

What do you guys think of Clottey +26.5 points on 5d?

I guess it is so high because Pac is crushing everything in his path.

I can't see Clottey getting the decision - he doesn't throw enough punches and Mayweather-Pac is hoped for by Arum and the rest of the world.

But 26.5 points would mean he could lose 10-2 across the board and still cover.

Maybe it's a sucker bet - Pac is a destroyer. But if Clottey does make it 12, I imagine he could take 2 rounds on each card.

Prop bets are difficult. I'm a bit gunshy on any prop this week after Urango was unexpectedly stopped last Saturday.

"Tickets have quietly gone on sale for the April 10 clash between former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and WBF titleholder Francois Botha at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Seats are $25, $75, $150 and $250. The 47-year-old ring legend Holyfield has previously fought in Las Vegas 16 times, the most recent being his bout with James Toney in 2003."

I'm sure the demand will be out of control for tickets

You got to like Peter -295 especially when he came in at 237:scared. Looks like he's given up on the Arreola training regiment and has gotten serious. He'll be able to stay busy over the course at that weight. I'm not making much of Aguilara koing Mascaev. In fact i wanted to bet it but no line was offered.

My other plays are Soto-Big -300 and -350, Marquez (Tyson) med, some parlays with Brook, Prulev. I'm on the Pac over 8 1/2 and 9 1/2 med. BIG weekend of fights! Good luck everybody!!!
