One more early note for next week. Jose Luis Castillo removed from the Top Rank PPV. Injury.

New opponent for Antonio Diaz is Javier Castro (19-1).

I remember when Ghost first made his debut at Jacks boxing forum. Always conducted himself with class and decorum, never stirring up the poop and always focusing on our main mission, to get the benjamins. Now he has elevated his game and is doing even more to contribute to the cause. Hooray for Ghost!!!

Ah shit, you guys got me blushing

But seriously, I enjoy posting here and am glad to get the positive feedback. I think it helps us all when the dialogue is started early for the next week.

Kick does the schedule for all the MMA events. I thought doing a weekly boxing schedule would be helpful as well. And I try to update changes to the fights whenever possible.

Since starting these weekly threads, my bank roll stats have increased. I really believe the more information we have, the better the conversations. The better the conversations, the higher the winning percentage.

In my opinion, the most knowledgeable boxing minds in the world gather here. When disappointments like the B.J. Flores fight happen, I just remind myself how many victories we have had here. If we look back at a year's worth of threads, the victories far outway the losses.

Here's to the team! Here's to the money !

Eddie Chambers vs Samuel Peter is the most interesting fight this week I guess ...

Leaning on Chambers if I can get him at something like + 120 or up .

Any leans in this one ladies and gentlemen ?

Brainiac,

here is the original thread on Chambers-Peter.
http://www.madjacksports.com/forum/showthread.php?t=361203

It is certainly the marquee fight of the week, as the Chavez Jr. card on Saturday is really another piss poor PPV offering.
I am furious at myself for not grabbing the +175 Chambers opened at. Now he is the favorite at some sites.
Certainly not as good a number, but I like Chambers the more and more I think about this one.

Also, at the end of Friday Night Fights, Atlas mentioned he talked to people around Peter's camp this week. Word is the big Nigerian looked soft and is lacking passion (no shock there).

I actually think there is a small chance Chambers could win this fight by stoppage. Small chance.
Peter has looked ATROCIOUS the last 3 fights. Since rematching Toney (which he looked solid in),
he went life and death with McCline, allowed Maskaev to be competitive, and quit against Vitali.

Like weepaul mentioned, when a guy quits for the first time, it becomes easier to do from that point on.

I thought Chambers was winning the Povetkin fight clearly through 4 rounds. Then he had a mental collapse and lost 6 of the last 8.
I think he has learned his lesson.
As long as he is focused, and doesn't get clipped with one of those looping, back of the head shots from Peter, Fast Eddie can win this.

Chambers is not the next great heavyweight hope. But he is far better than McCline and Maskaev. Both those guys hurt Peter. Chambers can, too.

I was ringside for Peter-Toney 1. I thought Toney was robbed in that fight. Peter can be outboxed by a smaller guy. Not hard, in my opinion.

One issue is Povetkin, Brock, and Guinn are the best punchers Chambers has faced. I think Peter packs a bigger gun those 3.

Weights will be a key factor here. For Chambers backers, we want to see below 220. Above that will worry me.
Peter (notoriously lazy with his weight) was 253.5 against Vitali. Anything about 255 and my Chambers LARGE bet becomes Chambers MASSIVE.

The Greek has Chambers-120 now. A complete 180 here from dog to chalk. No love for the "nightmare" around here.

I think Montiel has the stuff to beat Darchinyan. Skills, speed and power and he's very strong at that weight. And I think he has a better beard than Vic.

Doing some research on these now. These 3 rounders can be enticing, but also tricky.
