Griffin looks good, but I'm of a mind that this will be a showcase for Lacy at home and Griffin hopefully is the sacrificial lamb. I could be WAY off in my perception, but lots of guys look like gorillas but still hit the deck.

I can't help myself.

I am taking Otis Griffin at +460 to beat Lacy.

Griffin is shite but Lacy is close to being shot and his eyes swell when they apply the vaseline.

Good luck all!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Ghost, it's Mrdjenovich-Gerula in Canada.
Girls, 10 rds, sbk has 1,5 for over 8,5 which is well considering that Gerula is not a puncher and has been stopped only once in 10 defeats. Mrdjenovich has never been stopped and has just below 50% (which is actually pretty high for girl).
Only drawback is that Mrdjenovich is guilty for only KO loss on Gerula record (4th rd in 2004) :mj07:

I think it's still a good bet since Gerua has been better since that loss and Mrdjenovich last 10 fights went distance.

HOLY SHITE !
Nice job old dirty !

not only did the chick make it the distance last night in Canada, but she WON !!!!!!!

+700 dog !
:scared

Decisioning the girl who KO'ed her previously-never would have called that.

Olivia `The Predator' Gerula scored a unanimous decision (97-94, 97-94 and 96-95) over Jelena Mrdjenovich at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton Thursday night, grabbing Mrdjenovich's World Boxing Council's super featherweight title with a solid victory over the hometown girl.

I'm on Griffin too!

I'm not sure if Corley is worth a shot, his opponent is VERY unproven and he looks pretty fragile to me.

Thnx Ghost.
I've been trying to find this result whole day and you did it before me. I knew I should ask but I didn't want to bother you.

My plays for today, FRIDAY 4/10/09:

SANCHEZ over CORLEY - LARGE
Romi is right - Chop Chop is shot shot.

NASHIRO over TOMIYAMA - MEDIUM
defending his title at home in Osaka.

PARLAY - MEDIUM
Sanchez to Nashiro.

NO PLAYS for me on Lacy-Griffin or Lopez-Duran.
I think Lacy will KO Griffin and I think Lopez will win a tough decision over Duran - actually Duran may have a shot.

But I don't trust either favorite enough to play any big money, and I don't trust either dog enough to try

If Lacy loses on a card he is promoting in his hometown, he should retire immediately and move out of Florida - Griffin is trash.
This thing is probably going to be fixed like the Roy-Sheika fight.
The minute Left Hook lands a glancing shot, the ref will stop it. Particularly with this thing being off television. I bet Griffin will be winning when they stop it, too.

RESULT from the UKRAINE
YURIY NUZHNENKO vs VYACHESLAV SENCHENKO

Senchenko wins a 12 round UD

~ 116-112 | 116-112 | 118-110 ~
~ WBA Ordinary World welterweight title ~

Congrats to those who took a shot and followed Graham there....nice job Mr. Fighwriter.

I took a SMALL stab on Senchenko in his hometown.

On the undercard:
European featherweight titlist Oleg Yefimovich (16-1, 10 KOs) retained his regalia for the second time with an easy twelve-round decision over Frenchman Osman Aktas (33-17-5, 6 KOs) with the scores: 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109.

Im considering the under 11.5 in Wright/Williams +260. It sounds crazy I know, but I can see a clash of heads, given the akward styles and the way they will fight for territory, Winky closing in, Williams pulling out.

If Winky is badly faded a stoppage isn't out of the question, if Winky shows up in peak shape, his timing is exceptional, think Quintana again at 160lbs.

Im on Griffin too, fuk it, Lacy just sucks.

Agree on Lacy. The dude's on such a downward spiral, and he's been on it for years. I just can't resist betting small amounts against him no matter who he fights. You can tell his heart's not in it, and one of these days his spirit's gonna totally break. Its almost depressing to watch him fight.

But you are crazy about Wright. Winky strikes me as the kind of guy who will never be stopped until he enters the ring as a completely shot fighter. Sure, he's past his prime...but he is just too technically solid. Even if his reflexes have dulled, he's still got that fortress of a defense. And age seems to mean less and less in boxing these days.

And I don't think Winky has enough pop or punch output to stop P-Williams.

there`s a reason for this fight...it ain`t happening at home vs this non-punching can...

i think the under`s a strong possibility...

I gotta agree with weasel here
Griffin has no power, and Lacy has lost almost everything - but HIS CHIN. He has a great chin.

Griffin needs a KO to win and he couldn't hurt a fly.
Griffin is going to have to flick a jab and run all night. If he stands toe to toe, he is going to get KO'ed. He ran from Licina for 3 rounds, and the first time he got hit he - the fight was over. Griffin's chin is HORRENDOUS.

Bad stoppage in Lacy's favor. I can see it already in my head.

Good luck everyone. I sort of wish this fight was on TV tonight instead of Lopez-Duran. Most people seem to have more of a betting interest in the Lacy fight.

I think Im the only one on Lacy. I took him @-370. He's far from the fighter he was but tonights fight is set up for him to win. Should he lose he's completely done.

WEIGHTS from LAS VEGAS:

Winky Wright 159 vs. Paul Williams 157
Chris Arreola 255 vs. Jameel McCline 271

WTF is Arreola doing man?
If he can't win the heavyweight title, he can at least parlay his heritage and his punching power into a title shot. Can't he get in shape for like 2 or 3 fights? It could determine the rest of his life.

Damnit, he can eat mexican food and drink beer the rest of his life - why can't he sacrifice just one year of his life?

Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic.
