I got Berto at -250 at a euro bookie, and I'm happy with that!

Oritz has the skills and the power, but I doubt that he has the mental strength to pull it off!

Berto says he is in the shape of his life as well!

-250! I'm jealous!!! I would hit that any day. -450 and up is what I'm seeing; haven't seen anything in local Vegas books as these cheese dicks have an aversion to posting boxing lines. Guess I should stay away altogether. And you know what they say about mental toughness; 90% of boxing is 50% mental.

Nice preview over at fightnews.com on this tilt. Interesting aspects are comments made by both boxers. Berto says he fought better comp; that Ortiz breaks down mentally if he gets in a jam. Ortiz says Berto has never tasted serious power and Ortiz says he is just the guy to deliver said shots. The scribe says Berto has been handed custom made opponents to thrash while Ortiz is fighting scared since Maidana put him to sleep. Ah yes, the plot thickens! I would give the edge as far as level of competition to Berto and Ortiz has been fighting Jr.Welter, and now his power may not be what he thinks it is at 147.

I swear it's the hype machine here...plus all the rappers are betting berto. Nelly's action alone probably moved the line to -450.

Great go between about the Berto-Ortiz fight! This is why I like this forum. I'm not quite ready to show my cards on this one yet - still thinking some things over.

Anyone got a strong feel about Mundine-Woods, going off in a few hours?

I've gone back and forth enough to stay away. Sense is that mundine is truly the much better fighter. Was it a lucky punch by Woods? I'd say it probably was, but that doesn't mean he can't do it again. Sometimes one guy just has another's number. Mundine is aging to.

Mundine W10 would be my call, but I'm not willing to lay the -220 number on it.

I am on Mundine. I think he will play it safe and school him. But this does concern me.

In the same boat. On mundine small. The fvcker killed me back in Dec. I think Woody will need to stop him. Would have liked an under + wager option to hedge but didn't see over/under offered. Small wager for me. Hopefully he's got enough in the tank to go rds. In Mundines backyard so Woody shouldn't be able to use his dirty roughhouse tactics. Mundine SHOULD get the dec, should he stay on his feet. Good luck.

Got to say the same for woody...guys uses every part of his body as a weapon and keeps hitting on break. Mundine having a good rd 5 but woody lands nice shot in fnal 30 secs.
