Any US TV or internet broadcast for the Tua fight?

Any US TV or internet broadcast for the Tua fight?

March 31st (Wednesday), 2010

At Trusts Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand
David Tua (50-3-1) vs. Friday Ahunanya (24-5-3)

Just curious if anyone knows where to see this fight?

Btw, I took last weekend off because I just didn't have enough time to research the fights, but I'm back now.

:)

I love Tua (always have) and will be looking for a stream.....might be tough to find

glad to see you are alive matt
you were the smartest of us all....taking the week off was genius....with so many fights, a few of us took big hits.....it's just really difficult to come out ahead with so much on the table

this week looks more promising
several key matchups we can focus on and really analyze

Anybody think Berto may be a bit over valued -900? The line opened -1500 :scared. I took Quintana +700. I think he's a bit live. Berto has had some struggles. He barely got by Collazo. I'm not convinced Berto is all that. Quintana is a proven spoiler that easily beat Julio a few yrs back. Quintana also came up huge in a big upset of PW just 2 yrs ago. If Berto doesn't get Quintana out early (and I don't think he will) Quintana can create some havok for him. +700 was just too good to pass up. Quintana supposedly is taking this one very serious. Berto SHOULD win here but he hasn't shown he's an elite fighter...not even close. I like the doggies chances.

I agree with you +450 is a good price, especially if you take into consideration what Zerwas mentioned regarding performance enhancing drugs...

BUT

If Haye wins he will be the next to fight the Klit. brothers -> BIG MONEY

and we all know how important money is in boxing...

hmmm....

No way Haye gets in the ring with a Klitschko if he wins. He's a fraud and his team will get him in there with another bum or two before they have to expose him.

Holyfield seems the best best. Maybe a Valuev rematch.

Golden Boy Gets Its First ShoBox Card

The promotion invades Showtime on April 2 with Erislandy Lara.

On April 2, Golden Boy Promotions will promote its first card on Showtime as Erislandy Lara is set to headline against Danny Perez.

The card, which takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will also include Carlos Velasquez in the co-feature against Alejandro Perez.

"We're proud to present our first ShoBox event and we promise that fans will see the quality of fights they're accustomed to on the series," said Oscar De La Hoya.

Hey Guys what do you think about:

David Tua (50-3-1) vs. Friday Ahunanya (24-5-3)

Tua is the favorite fore sure but maybe Ahunanya has a chance...?

Aa David is the home fighter and the by far more famous Boxer, I think there is no way that Aunanya can win by dec. To win by KO will be difficult too, given that he has not the best KO record and Tua was never KOed... but as you can get Ahunanya wins by KO/TKO/DIS at +3500 hmmm maby a very small play...

Do not get me wrong is think Tua is going to make it very easy, but as in boxing a lot of stange things happen...

What do you think?

Cheers

Don't want to speak for Kramden, but I know from past posts me and him are both Tua fans.

There were rumors that Tua was out of shape, but I see has come in at 239. Last fight he was 237. This, to me, is still a good weight.

Friday has only been stopped once, but it was by the not so great Lance Whitaker. He did go 6 rounds with Povetkin, but the Russian takes a while to get going usually.

Tua at his best destroys Friday....but who knows?

I just heard a radio ad for Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins vs. Roy "The Terminator" Jones Jr.
:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

WTF?

Is this a new nickname Roy is going by?
That has to be a mistake.

I don't think anyone is going to buy this PPV.

You are welcome.

What is you take on this fight Kramden?

Odds on Tua are very low so maybe the some round betting or under/over?

Well, I like Tua. Friday is a tough guy but he usually does enough to lose to the better guys. he does seem sturdy, only losing once by KO to Mount "Goofi" Whitaker 6 years ago

truthfully, Friday's best win probably came against Shane Cameron even though he's mixed with some former champs and top contenders.

Tua, strongest and best puncher Friday has ever faced. Friday not overly elusive. I could imagine Tua languishing for some rounds, as he's done that before, but I do think he's more serious now and perhaps less distracted.

But an in shape Tua can be dangerous. I'm leaning on a Tua KO in under 5.5 rounds. I'll say the 3rd round.

Other stuff: It's funny how Friday is listed at 6 feet and is quite a bit taller than Tuavale.

Tua is one compact dude. Looks pretty good. he's as wide as he is tall. Want to see him in the mix again. he's got a 2 or 3 good years left. he must take advantage now or that will be it.

And how about the Colonel Bob Sheriden's yellow shooting glasses? is that his signature artifact?

I'd figure Tua fight card will start on 3 am EST on Wed. As an aside, spent nearly a month in New Zealand early in this decade and it's a terrific country. Great food, beer and people. Has everything - beach, mountains, rural and nice cities. All in a short helicopter ride away. Even given casual thought to making it a permanent residence.
