OVA hits!!! Good.

I think there is good value in Keb Bass tonight at +245. Sometimes becoming a champion just makes a fighter better. I think this is the case with Keb. He beat Nino Romero pretty convincingly. He has faced Hernandez before, getting stopped in 4...and Keb is known to be durable.

I see a different fight this time around. A much more confident Keb.

I also like Hirales to get the win back over Geles in Mexico this time - but odds are high now. I have him parlayed down in a couple spots to about 2 to 1.

Wouldn't touch Ulises Solis against that little shit Lazarte in Argentina.

R. Asenjo could be live against R. Garcia - who seems to be slipping a bit. I was hoping for wider odds here. By record, Asenjo doesn't look all that great either. Nothing significant.

The OVER 9.5 in the Garcia-Asenjo fight could be worth a look. Asenjo never stopped and Garcia with a series of 12 rounders over the past couple years.

Good luck guys.

Out of curiosity, can anybody give an explanation as to why Hirales is such a big favorite (-550) over Geales, who beat him by SD just 2 months ago? I know next to nothing about these guys other than what Boxrec provides. Neither appears to be genuine world class. On paper, it looks like a pic em. Appreciate any feedback.

Location, location, location!

Last time it was in Geales "home", this time it isnt.

But I agree, despite the fact that Hirales should win, the odds look a litte bit strange...

Cheers

I just read a write up on the 1st fight. Geales hometwn and it was in fact controversial. Hirales was winning on agrression and appeared as though he might get geales out but he tired and Geales made a strong go of it late in the fight. The writer said Hirales was on fumes late in the fight.

Agree with the Keb analysis. Took a small flyer.

I read a few different accounts which said the first fight was your standard hometown screwjob - that Geles probably won 4 rounds. I didn't see the fight, so can't say for sure...

Keb bass stopped on his stool late... end of 10 perhaps

WBO minimumweight champion Raul Garcia (30-1-1, 18 KOs) stopped Rommel Asenjo (20-3, 16 KOs) in the third round.

Not sure what happened in the Keb fight? Stream wasn't great. They seemed to be fighting on pretty even terms through 10 - Hernandez with slight advantage, and Keb maybe tiring a bit... and then they just stopped it. Not sure why? Good fight all the way through until stoppage.
