In the afternoon fights tomorrow, I've got Lebedev and DeGale wrapped into some parlays

Also gonna take a stab at the UNDER 7.5 @ -120 in the Lebedev fight. Jones doesn't look great to me. A little thick and bloated - unlike himself. I think his years are starting to show. He hasn't fought in more than a year. Tough to imagine him standing in there for too too long, even if he does go into his shell. If Lebedev goes after him aggressively, and I think he will, I think there is a good chance this ends early.

joel julio not even close to the trinidad type gunner when he was debraining dudes like hicklett lau

I had the same thought when watching the fight, but it's tough to look good against a guy who barely fights back.

Adjaho is a good defensive fighter. He blocks a lot of punches, and gets out of the way. A survivor, that's it. What punches there were from him were mostly very slow.

Julio wins an easy 10 round decision by the way, 99-91 across the board.

I always kind of liked Hicklet Lau...don't know why. The name I guess.

i'll lay off the pascal and hopkins fight

the first fight was on showtime and this one on hbo

when hbo picks up showtimes scraps, the fights usually flatline in excitement value

Interesting observation; imagine HBO getting sloppy seconds from Showtime! Teddy Atlas was hilarious in the bakery skit.

:toast:
My first bets in ages and they are BIG ones!!!

I am huge on Cleverly for this fight.

I think he looked pretty shitty in his last fight but I think that was just an off night.
I believe Braehmer is a big puncher but he is just not active enough to beat Cleverly.

Cleverly is a fast, combination puncher who seems to have a gas tank for miles. I think he beats the piss out of the plodding Braehmer, possibly busting him up in the process.
I will be shitting myself until the fight is over as Braehmer has very heavy hands and Cleverly sometimes fights stupid but I am taking the younger, faster boxer, fighting at home.

I also have a big parlay involving Cleverly and Dawson.
I believe Dawson is coming to Canada to make a point on fight night and will look good in the process against a much slower fighter.

Good luck all :toast: :toast:
Pissed that the Cleverly fight got cancelled
Now I have too much money on Dawson in a non-existant Parlay!!! :scared

I still think Dawson kills him so I have bet on Dawson by KO at +250. Omar Sheika is more worn down than my Granny's 95 year old ankles and he STILL managed to hurt and drop Diaconu in his last fight.

"Bad" Chad is going to prove a point at the expense of Diaconu and I won't be surprised if the stoppage is set up by brutal body shots :0074

I expect Cleverly to win, possibly ITD but can't pull the trigger at -300.

I just can't pick a winner in the Pascal fight. Hopkins is the kind of guy who learns a lot and is much better in rematches but he HAS to grow old sometime.

I would love for Jones to pull the upset but I expect him to be demolished within 2 rounds. If Roy was having trouble with his chin at Light-Heavy, I don't expect it to get better against a huge punching Cruiser. Under 7 1/2 rounds looks like easy money to me  but I can't pick over/unders if my life depended on it

Good luck boys :toast:

My picks:

Diaconu by KO or TKO +700 (1 unit)
Dawson camp are in for a surprise... i'm giving Diaconu 25% of winning and if he wins it will be by knockout. Dawson wont have it easy on that one believe me... His chin is also suspect so...

Pascal -138 ( 7units)
Pascal by KO or TKO +500 ( 2units)

I`'ll probably be there at the event. It's gonna be :0corn :0074

Shieka had Diaconu on queer street. Lots of physical disadvantages to overcome for the Romanian in this one.

Didn't realize The Black Russian Ismayl Sylkah was on the undercard this morning. He just scored a devastating 3rd rd ko. Nate Campbell also on the card and he scored a ud. Going to strt later this morning/afternoon. Going to miss it...sat gymnastics w/my daughter. Going to eat my shorts if I'm wrong but I think Lebed will hammer RJ from the get go and get him out inside of there about mid rds. Enjoy the fight Gents.

Oscar Ibarra vs. Juanito Rubillar

Oscar Ibarra vs. Juanito Rubillar

Under 9.5 (-160) @ sportsbook
Just a little play here. My main this weekend is a Julio/Lebedev/Degale/Dawson/Hopkins parlay. Let's start w/ Rubillar. He's coming off a loss to a fellow countryman in the Philippines, one w/ a 22-24 record, weights unknown. At 34, he's moving up two divisions to fight Ibarra. He likes to lead w/ his head, evidenced by 5 of his fights ending early on cuts, and his defense is not very good, either keeping a loose high guard or hands almost by the waist. He's been knocked out 4 times, first by Pongsaklek @ 105, 3k Battery @ 108, Edgar Sosa @ 108, and Giovanni Segura @ 108, all within 9. Ibarra is a calculated pressure fighter who I've rarely seen throw a jab, just straight power punches. He has a great left hook to the body, which he likes to double up. Rubillar was able to last the distance twice against Travieso, but that was 7 years ago. I think Ibarra easily beats Rubillar and wanted to go for something a little more challenging, and I see Rubillar wilting under the pressure of Ibarra.

lol these gus are butchering the anthem. I think they did that on purpose.

Roy look bloated as hell. It looks like he just juiced and did some biceps curls to try and sell the fight.

Roy must be nuts
He easily outboxed Leb for the majority of round 1
but then dropped his hands, started talking to the crowd, and got rocked twice

if he fights smart, he can win rounds
if he drops his hands and showboats, he is going out soon on his back

Can't find anything at boxrec on Travieso? When was that exactly? He did(Rubillar) last 10/12/12 rds respectively last 3x out of the gate, albeit at probably 108. It's possible Rubillar has weight issues so he thinks a solution might be to move up; not always the best answer, especially if you are fighting a guy used to being at 115. I also suspect his last loss versus Llanos was probably at the higher weight and he was testing the waters. Versus Jaro he(Ibarra) did get tagged a lot be he seems to be able to crack real good as he stopped him. He is also 3" taller than Rubillar which bodes well for him(Ibarra).
