I figured it was bound to happen, I don't understand how that exta weight can do anything except hurt him. Looks like roy's head on someone elses body.

Made a few bucks on this but MUCH more important than a few bucks is RJ's well being. Hope he is ok. These unneccessary concussive kos take their toll. Been watching boxing for about 35 yrs and at his best I think RJ was indeed the best that these eyes have seen.

Very strange ending (and terrible for Jones)

He hurt Lebedev badly with a left hook to end round 9
then in he middle of round 10, Jones landed another leaping shot

Lebedev went flying into the ropes
got tangled up

to me, on first glance, it looked like a knockdown

Smoger called it a slip

But the crowd got very excited and was cheering Jones

This infuriated Lebedev, and he started to stalk like he hadn't for 9.5 rounds

He smashed Roy with straight right hands and left hooks, furiously trying to KO him
Roy was helpless on the ropes, and Smoger was late to the stoppage

Roy started to fall on his face, and Lebedev looked over at Smoger like "Are you going to stop this or what fucker?"

Smoger didn't - and Lebedev SMASHED Roy badly with an uppercut as he was already falling on his face

that KO is going to be way worse for Roy down the line
Lebedev would have done him a bigger favor KOing him in 1

Roy is up now - eyes closed

His wife is crying - Nate Campbell is consoling her

Can't find anything at boxrec on Travieso? When was that exactly? He did(Rubillar) last 10/12/12 rds respectively last 3x out of the gate, albeit at probably 108. It's possible Rubillar has weight issues so he thinks a solution might be to move up; not always the best answer, especially if you are fighting a guy used to being at 115. I also suspect his last loss versus Llanos was probably at the higher weight and he was testing the waters. Versus Jaro he(Ibarra) did get tagged a lot be he seems to be able to crack real good as he stopped him. He is also 3" taller than Rubillar which bodes well for him(Ibarra).

I'm on board for the under 9.5 for 1/2 unit.

I read that he owes the IRS a few million so that might be why he is still fighting. As for this fight that was a horrible stoppage by Smoger. Is he trying to get Roy killed?

I like Steve Smoger but he does create highlight reel KO's by not intervening in time. Seems to like a bout to come to a "natural" conclusion. Kind of amazing that Jones wobbled Lebdev in the 9th with a left hook.
