Franklin Lawrence KO7 Jason Gavern

Lawrence making a bit of a name for himself. Has ko'd Jason Estrada, Lance Whitaker, and now Gavern in last 3. I've heard the McCall loss before that was controversial. Anyone see it?

Just to make a pick, I say Kolle is gonna win. Maybe he woulda been a bit of a favorite, say -180. I was hoping that, if there were odds, it would've shown at even. I would've played Kolle for say, a med rare wager.

Woops, didn't realize it was round 8. What the hell's going on? Truax won the 7th.

That crowd looks pretty raucous and close to the action! Looks like a fun environment. I think there's more people there than it looks.

The house is packed.

It looked to me like Truax worked harder in the last part of the fight, but Kolle had a good 10th.

You're right, great stream! Wish they were all like that.

Decision coming up.

Truax wins a split decision.

Sometime it pays to have a slow week!

I just can't understand Harris' performance last night?? I won with Thompson, so fine, but why does a guy work for three years at a comeback, lose weight, string off some decent wins, get himself to 6 in the IBF rankings, and then come into a televised eliminator 16lbs heavier and basically disinterested in fighting?

Amen to that!!!

I knew that betting on Harris is never a sure thing, but I didnt expect him to give a non effort like that!

I guess my mistake was that I bet the over as well as on Harris...losing a number of small bets keeps adding up, and I had to know that this was not the fight to do this!

I bet Thompson by ko as well, of course, but unfortuantely, I coulnt bet a lot! : /

I lost a buck and change on the over. Not concerned about it but like you I can't understand why he wouldn't come to the show, especially after being in his best form in yrs. If he comes prepared and in shape then he gives Thompson a hand full and then some. For whatever reason he didn't want it. Props to Graham for sensing something at the weighin. He originally endorsed the over but he felt something wasn't right and endorsed Thompson by ko.

Taking a big gamble with the over on Mcd/Otieno -370 9 1/2. Very long odds for an over but likely to occur IMO. If a stoppage comes, I believe it will be late in the fight...or so I hope. I think McD is an overrated overachiever.

Johnson-Klitschko all over again

Johnson-Klitschko all over again

You know, Romi, this was like Kirk Johnson vs Vitali Klitschko all over again. People were giving Johnson a decent shot at the upset and then he came in seriously over his best fighting weight, a bit like Mo Harris last night, and of course he was out of the fight early. Why do heavyweights do this? Harris was two fights away from a championship opportunity and he came in soft and just not ready to fight, like a man who was waiting to get knocked out. I mean, you would have expected Harris to be in the best possible shape and ready to put up the fight of his life in his last chance at glory. I guess the term "born loser" applies in a case like this.

rd1-close rd...LOTS of punches by both guys...ot pressing...mcd moving but throwing a ton of shots...pace will prob slow after a few rds...i give it to mcd on volume but ot landed a few nice shots....these guys are strictly arm punchers :0074...hope they have no illusions of getting an early ko

rd2- mcd landing nice left hks and body shots...those punches will take a toll...ot doing enough to keep mcd honest...Mcd wants to give an impressive perforance and its showing...i think he wants to be the 1st to ge ot out of there...going to take some rds if it does happen...very fast pace so far...

I have it 3-0...pace slowing just a tad but still a lot of shots being throw...i d think mcd wouldnt want to let it hang out...he apparently had some trouble making wait and this is a very brisk pace...no gimme for mcd even though hes winning...announcers have him 2-1..
