Looking at the replay....GL got what was coming to him...he's a fcking dirty fighter and had just hit Mc on the break prior...in no way can Macs shot be deemed hitting on the break...Gl dropped his gloves and got drilled...good riddance you cheating fvcker.

Paul McCloskey was ahead 5-3 w/ 2 even on the judges scorecards into RD 11.

Paul McCloskey beat Giuseppe Lauri by KO in Round 11

Lauri was very much in the fight. Closer than most expected..but he got smashed stiff in rd 11...no early stoppage there..

Not the best performance from the Irishman
I expected him to take care of Lauri easily mid rounds

He was slower this time out and got hit a lot

he got the result in the end, but he has a long way to go

best part of the fight was the end

The way the referee was treating McC, I thought for sure that KO was going to be a DQ

but the hook was on the button and 100% clean

I heard Watt say 5-3-2 and could hardly believe it. I guess I watched a different fight. Had this one been in Italy, Laurie arguably could have pulled out an ugly win. If the Irish Ref is giving him pts then an Italian ref may very well have dq'd Mac. That was a sweet and justifiable ending if I ever saw one.

45 seconds into round 11
damn
got it right, but got it wrong

OVER UNDER was set on the button
and lady luck went against us this time

darn it all to heck

It seems in the past the over/under on that fight would have been 11.5. Oddsmaker getting smarter, getting people to bite on risky 9.5 plays.

Never saw McCloskey take so many shots. This may cool the hype on Paul for a while. But his KO was impressive. He does have the type of hands that can catch guys by surprise - like he did here.

This will be my "BIG" play on the week. Took the over for a small amt. This kid Mepranum cost me my 1st losing week this year with a big upset. I just want him to go rds. The guy he beat "Tyson" somehow got an interim title shot for his horrible effort that night. Boxing...the only sport that you can win for losing :mj07:

Speaking of "Tyson" nicknames. You can rest assured that if a fighter uses that nickname then he sucks :142smilie

u would be suprised...at what type of things are so ridculously obvious when u put the time in....no pun intended...

Its really got nothing to do with getting smarter though..just guy that the player or oddsmaker that works the hardest usually make the most paper...

What % of the totals O/U's landed within 45 secs of the O/U rds this year? The accuracy would suprise even the best of you...

Are you gloating there a bit Oddessa? Cause it sounds to me like you're gloating. That's all fine and well. We sure celebrate when we win. Here, let me give you one of these...:00hour To be honest, I'll take any advice you give.

What for example, would you say was so 'ridiculouly obvious' about the McCloskey fight going over?
