You must have found it at the same time as me Bro lol.

Romi, you will be happy to hear Joyi won but it was not easy.

His opponent was getting the better of him and decked him with a body shot in round 5 that apparently sucked the life out of him but Gutierrez did something that pissed off the ref and while being warned for a foul (for standing over Joyi??), Joyi had time to recover.

Joyi then made a rally as Gutierrez started missing a lot of shots.

I am happy and can go to bed now. Well done :00hour

I kept checking boxrec and fightnews all day. I finally went to bed @1 am w/no result. Nice to wake up to good news. Looks like we kind of dodged a bullet. That's the risk of taking boxrec wagers but I won't stop...they win more oft than not. Thx and congrats! My wager of the week is on Soto. I have a nice bundle on him and I'd be shocked to see him lose to the old vet.

IBO mini-flyweight champion Nkosinathi Joyi survived anxious moments before stopping Sammy Gutierrez in the seventh round in East London on Friday night.
The South African, making his second defence, had to work hard to retain his title against the tough Mexican. He got away with what could have been ruled a knock-down.

Joyi, who had won the belt by stopping Armand de laz Cruz from the Philippines, was up against an opponent who took the fight to the champion from the first bell.

Hardly taking a backward step, Gutierrez kept up the pressure despite Joyi's counter-punching.

Joyi's promoter, Siphatho Handi, even leapt into the ring in the fourth round to instruct his charge to retaliate with body shots.

Joyi resorted to holding and pushing and Gutierrez's attack appeared to be paying off when an solid blow to the solar plexus caused Joyi to slump to the canvas in the fifth round.

In his haste to finish off the champion, Gutierrez leaned over Joyi's body, drawing a warning from referee Andile Matika that cost him a deserved knockdown.

"He was caught in that round and my heart was in my throat," admitted Joyi's elder brother Themba, who is also a professional fighter.

However, Joyi got back into the fight and took advantage when Gutierrez started missing badly. Three solid blows wobbled the Mexican in the seventh round.

The champion seized the opportunity and landed several unanswered blows, driving the Mexican into the ropes where a seven-punch salvo convinced Matika to stop the fight.

The SA southpaw, 25 years old, improved his record to 18-0, with 14 knockouts. Gutierrez, 22, who suffered his first stoppage defeat, dropped to 20-3-2; 12. In his first defence, Joyi knocked out Gabriel Pumar 29 seconds into the first round in November last year.

In the main supporting bout, Mfundo Gwayana (9-3; 3), who was making the first defence of his SA junior flyweight title, scored a fourth-round technical knockout over Samora Msophi.

Msophi was later taken to hospital for observation

"the bunker"
broke down and bought the ppv...

what i want to see.....

1)barrett test tye fields...not just show himself to be a totally shot fighter incapable of giving a poor prospect a run for his money...

2)is lorenzo over the hill?...or can he still put up enough of a pace to give soto(who`s become one of my favorites to watch and one of the main reasons i bought this ppv)trouble...even though soto `s in there to bring the hurt, sometimes he`s to delibearte...not busy enough...

3)expect a competitive tough fight from luevano/santiago

4)very interested in seeing whether the lefty style of manny is somewhat nullified by diaz lefty stance....almost all of pac`s big fights were vs righties...and i still believe that manny`s right hook is more window dressing...his straight left is the money shot...imo,he`s almost one dimensional..and most of diaz fights that i watched were vs taller opponents...

still, none of these righties seems to able to nullify manny`s straight left hand, which is why he`s on the cusp of greatness......will the lefty stance be trouble for manny?....diaz` strength?...diaz has a very godd right hook(he`s a natural righty)....

pac doesn`t go backwards very often...

no big bets tonight..just some small, playfull type stuff...

1)pacquaio knocked down or our +650
2)soto/lorenzo under 10.5...+150
3)barrett +255
4)pacquaio wins 12 rd decision +243...

not enough wagered here to accomplish anything...just some longshots for shits and giggles...

g.l.,everybody..
