Can't understand why Cortez kept jumping in the middle of the two fighters near the end:shrug:

"the bunker"
steward was literally shaking.....

the word "sham-mockery" comes to mind....

lorenzo would have needed a shotgun to beat soto....

horrible cut and his nose was crushed....that was a badly broken nose...

He had to have a bet on that and a big one at that. I never in my life saw an announcer get all flustered like that. The anger in his voice was unbelievable. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes after Cortez later in the night.

Cortez was jumping in because he was going to stop the fight and then changed his Fukin mind :nono: .

I am just as pissed as Romi. They should call this card the night of the rip offs. I had Santiago and Soto. I lost big time.

These cunts should be held accountable. If I Fuk up at my job, I get fired.

That was bad judgement on cortez part.
Lorenzo had enough before the last attack.
To rule this punch intentional is just plain wrong.
I need the under on Pac.

Cortez made no fcking sense...he steps in as if to stop then lets it continue...the fcking fight was OVER...the dumb fckers wouldn't even consult a replay. Good thing I'm not in Vegas tonight. I'd go after that dumb fcker myself.

Back to square 1 for the month. I was having my best month ever. I won't let this devastate me. I'll have it back in about 8 weeks. Good luck for the pac bettors!

how the FCUK did he get DQ'ed?

In a controversial fight, heavily favored super featherweight contender Humberto Soto (43-7-2, 27 KOs) punished Francisco Lorenzo (33-4, 14 KOs) for four rounds, but it was Lorenzo who claimed the interim version of Manny Pacquiao's WBC 130lb belt. In round four, Soto dropped the 36-year-old Lorenzo twice, however after the second knockdown Soto clipped Lorenzo after he took a knee. With blood streaming from his face, Lorenzo remained on the deck. Referee Joe Cortez spent several minutes consulting with other NSAC officials before deciding to DQ Soto.

I lost 7125.oo straight up on soto plus 256 on a ko prop. Joe Cortez sucks donkey balls. I was having a pretty nice week. I added a few hund on pac inside...rebound is on the way. Pac looks like he's going to stop diaz so a total net loss in the neighborhood of 6300 on the week....FCK YOU JOE CORTEZ. I should be showing a nice profit of about 2200.oo.

I shouldn't count my chx b4 hatching...they'll prob stop the pac fight and go to the cards

But then confusion reigned in the fourth round. Lorenzo was bleeding from his nose, had gone down from a left uppercut and was being dominated.

After the knockdown, Lorenzo was trying to grab Soto but Soto connected in the corner.

Lorenzo, who had been outlanded 19-4 in the round, took a knee. But referee Joe Cortez didn't count, instead indicating that Soto had hit him while he was down.

"I got disqualified because he got hit while he was down," Cortez. "That's a disqualification. I watched the replay to make sure that is what I saw."

Replays indicated that Soto had indeed thrown a punch but that, at best, it grazed Lorenzo's head.

"I don't understand. I didn't hit him when he was down. It was all glancing," Soto said. "I'm really surprised. I never imagined it would come to this. Luck has not been with me."

While Soto was sent to a neutral corner, Lorenzo lay bleeding on the canvas with the doctor looking at him. Cortez conferred with Nevada commission executive director Keith Kizer and other commission officials. After several minutes, Cortez called off the fight and Lorenzo was given the victory.

"It was a good stoppage because I was hit in back of the head while I was down," Lorenzo said.

When he raised his hands, the crowd booed loudly.

Soto had been mentioned as a possible opponent for Pacquiao in the fall. Now, perhaps, there will be a rematch with Lorenzo.

"I don't know if he wants a rematch because in the rematch I would knock his head off," Soto said.

Why is the ref and the corner allowing Diaz to get masacred??? This one needs to get stopped. He's getting butchered.

that was tough to watch. Diaz had absolutely 0% chance and was getting ripped to pieces, when I saw him fall out of sheer exhaustion and body shut-down, I thoguht he could be dead or REALLY messed up. It reminds me of an ESPN fight a few years back, where a guy took ridiculous punishment all night, and then in the final round he was caught with an ordinary punch and simply collapsed lifeless, and ended up dying a few days later. His name escapes me, but Diaz fell the same way.

I won under and pac inside, but dang, we didn't need to see that.
