Well, Micheal Katz, a well known boxing scribe, here in Vegas anyways, likes Kotelnik's chances. He says the extra 5 lbs. isn't going to make Kahn's chin any less chinny. Such wit! Kot says, according to reports, he wants to start cracking a lot harder, so a knockdown of prince Amir isn't out of line. If it goes to the cards, I expect a grand larceny to occur. Lets hope Kot isn't going to cooperate.

Bute-Andrade rematch 11/28

Richard Schaefer, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Boy Promotions in Los Angeles and Jean Bedard, decision maker for Les Promotions Sportscene Inc./ InterBox reached an 11th hour deal last night to co-promote the Lucian Bute vs.Librado Andrade mandatory IBF rematch in either Quebec City or Montreal on November 28th. IBF super middleweight champion Bute (24-0, 19 KOs) won a controversial decision over IBF number one Andrade (28-2-0, 21 KOs) last October.

POOR ANDRADE!
Back to Canada again!

Unbelievable....Golden Boy wins the purse bid, but they obviously think they can make more money in Canada. So they screw their fighter (Andrade) and send the rematch back across the border.

Schaefer and Oscar....what a bunch of dicks....I feel for Librado...one of the most honest fighters in the sport.....

And why late November, practically December? Fighters just don't fight nearly enought these days- what's this twice a year crap, all driven by television dates, etc... God bless Edgar Sosa

My plays so far...

My plays so far...

Travis Walker -130- Medium
Quezada is almost ten pounds heavier than his last fight and Walker is in great shape. Walker hits harder and has about a 4-6 inch height advantage. Quezada has never faced the caliber of an opponent that Walker has. I wish the under was better odds or I would jump on that too.

Krzysztof Bienias -130- Small
Same opponent, same location, and same result.

Matthew Hall -140-Medium
Hall has an aggresive style that will give Anthony Small no time to rest or recuperate. The accumlation of punches by Hall will add up and take a heavy toll on Small. I see Hall grinding this one out for the win.

btw, Anyone know anything about Enzo's opponent Denis Lebedev???

Good Luck guys! :00x2

Katz told you that in person Frank or he writes again somewhere? I am a big time fan of his oldtime-grumpy stile of writing so I would appreciate the link if you have one. Guys at maxboxing.com told me they think he retired.

Katz regularly writes a column for Gaming Today newspaper. It was in this weeks issue. His column is usually about boxing exclusively, as you probably well know. Go to www.gamingtoday.com, and you will find Katz's column there.

Looking good matt

One thing about the fight tonight....I was shocked (like you) when I saw how heavy Quezada was on the scale.
But fukin fightnews posted the incorrect weight (they have changed it this morning).
Quezada did not weigh-in at 239...he weighed-in at 226. A big difference. This means he is is lower in weight than his last couple fights.
I think you are still OK though. Walker is the class here. I was ringside when Quezada fought Oruh, and I was NOT IMPRESSED. Dude is a slow plodder.
Two things worry me. Walker's china chin (he was down again in a fight after the Arreola fight) and the Lenmoore location. Quezada has fought at that casino most of his career and will have support from the crowd.
However, Walker is the bigger, better fighter. And he has also fought at Lenmoore once (KO'ing Wilson in their rematch). Walker is in decent shape. Hits harder. Is faster. Taller.

I like Travis Walker tonight by mid rounds stoppage.
