Besides Lock's KO losses to Cruz and Santiago, I think Escalante has faced better. He cut his teeth on some rough hombres like Jose Andres Hernandez, Juan Ruiz, Omar Adorna and Jose Beranza. The blip to Pastrana was devastating but that's behind him now and he's been fighting well. I'm looking forward to it.

New foe for Segura
"Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines has a visa problem and cannot travel to Mexico this weekend. His replacement will be Juanito Rubillar (46-12-7, 22 KOs) who will take on Giovani Segura in a world title bout on Top Rank?s Latin Fury 10 on Saturday night. This will be the fourth world title try for Rubillar, the most recent being last November against Edgar Sosa. Rubillar hails from Manila, Philippines. The Pay Per View fight card will begin 9 pm eastern/6 pm pacific."

Yeah the books just cancelled my wager on the under because Sonny Boy is out. With a new opponent, the books usually don't give new action lines. Oh well, visa problems have cancelled many a fight. Almost too many...hmmm

wow im on the opposite side of campbell/bradley. bradley to me is just ordinary, with a great chin and output.

this is a 50/50 fight imo. +250 is crazy. im on it like my fat-booty girlfriend. then again im stupid/crazy/drunk enough to be on marquez over mayweather.

cotto +210? great line. but im not leaving money hanging until november. that line should drop big time. cotto's obviously damaged goods, but he should land at least one clean punch on pacquiao (which was more than zombie oscar and "ricky's flattened" could do), we have no idea if pac can take it. best bet of that fight is 'doesnt go distance' imo. cotto should make 145 comfortably, but i still expect him to be knocked out within 6.

Sonny Boy killed my parlay :00hour. I didn't like it anyway. The wager was cancelled. I had escalante in a 4 way w/Antilon, fres, and Segura. I was a little nervous about lock pulling the upset and the good odds on Lock are long gone to hedge it. I thought the book would keep it alive but since no fights had been decided yet, the parlay was cancelled.

I have a lrge wager on Fres. I refuse to wager again on a crappy hvy but Fres does not fall into the category. In fact, he's not bad at all. He was jobbed against Toney and lost another debatable one against Oldy a few yrs ago. I'll be surprised if Seldon can find the fountain of youth and pull the upset. Fres should get it done in about 6 IMO. The rest of my wagers so far are futures. Good Luck!

Any thoughts on Castle this weekend!?
I had the chance to see his one round destruction of Graham. Very impressive!

hmmm, Fres doesnt have the best chin, he should win this fight though, but he's -500....

Interesting interview on fightnews BTW:
----------------------------
Campbell: ?I don?t want you to lie down. I want you to stand and fight me.?

Bradley: ?I?m going to stand toe-to-toe with him.?

Campbell: ?I?ll believe you?ll stand toe-to-toe with me when I see it.?
--------------------------------

IMO thats what it comes down to. Bradley fought such a clever fight against Witter, but he got a bit reckless against Holt. If he moves and stays on the outside, he should be fine, but will he do it!?
+250 looks good, if the lines gets a little better, I'm on Nate as well.

BTW, Malignaggi opened at +500 at the greek.
I agree that Diaz is the favorite, but thats pretty wide IMO.

I have a maxed out parlay on Patrick Hyland/Buckland.

I don't think Castle is as good as he looked against Earl as I believe Earl to be completely shot.

Good luck all!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

I took the over +140 in the Antillon fight (small).
This is for a belt, and few people have seen his oponnent. This might go some rds.

I'm not touching the Oquendo fight with a ten mile pole.

Rogan-Sexton rematch is on

Rogan-Sexton rematch is on

Following the highly controversial ending of their first encounter, Martin Rogan and Sam Sexton had to meet again to settle their unfinished business once and for all. And promoter Frank Warren has done just that. The rematch between the two feuding heavyweights will take place on Friday 9th October at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and it could eclipse the drama of their first fight.

B.J. Flores is trying to fight Jirov on the Jones Jr.-Lacy undercard
http://www.fightnews.com/?p=18370#more-18370

This guy is JUST DISGUSTING
What a farce.....Jirov?!???!!
Jirov hasn't fought in two years and is totally shot

Wow...I hate this guy Flores...horrible for boxing....not willing to fight anyone with a pulse....and it's fitting he is promoted by Roy Jones....maybe they can find some of those postal workers or airline pilots that Jones knocked out in the 1990s

I hear you on this one and now that I think of it, I think you can find some sparring footage of Flores-Jirov, Jirov being so stunned and hurt they had to stop it, so BJ is another guy who's not a true fighter at heart, but is running a a business of least risk, most money... not good for true aficiianados but good for them and their families I suppose. Vlad Klit has been doing this for some time now- Hepatitis, blown achilles Chagaev , Ray Austin, tiny Ibragimov, shot Rahman, shot Brewster.

anybody have a result for Moses/shimada? I took the wide odds on moses and a stab at the over +130. Shimada is almost 38 but he did hang in tough against a true bad ass in Valero. I'm hoping for a dec win for moses.
