shit
i had bika in a parlay
but that was a clear DQ
he had time to consider than
the thing that sucks is
Mendy was totally out on his feet
and if Bika had been more patient
it would have 100% been a first round KO

Unfortunately, the right call

Unfortunately, the right call

thx wee...good or bad call on cortez??

Mendy was down and Bika waited a moment, took aim and blasted him with a huge right hand Mendy obviously down on one knee. As Ghost said, Mendy would never have made it out of the first round, he was gone from Bika's left hook (the one that had him taking a knee) and would have been overpowered after the 8 count, without doubt.

Mendy to beat Bika at +320. I think Mendy is faster and is a Southpaw. He seems to have stamina and a pretty good chin.
He is getting older so maybe Bika overwhelms him but I'll take a chance at those odds.
Medium bet for me.
:00hour :00hour :00hour

This is the luckiest I have ever been in boxing. Sorry for you guys who lost on Bika being a clown :(

Terry Norris was a bit too eager to finish guys and threw away fights he was on the brink of winning by doing something crazy (late punch, punch on the back of the head, hitting while the man was down) ... You know, Romi, it has become a trend in recent years for a fighter to get in "one for luck" when an opponent goes down ... Bika, though, wasn't in the process of throwing a series of punches, he clocked the guy in a premeditated manner.

I'm just glad it wasn't a blown call. It's extremely rare to lose one via DQ but very painful. Bika has only himself to blame. Pent up agression over several weeks of training must be tough to hold inside.

I remember Norris beatting the hell out of that guy. I think they had 3 fights due to DQS.

Why was the Bika fight so early on the card?
There was interest in the bout, and many missed it (the arena looked totally empty)

now they have two guys in there I never heard of

George Groves and Seth Mitchell both won easily off TV

Poor Luis Santana still has headaches after his 3 fights with Terrible Terry. Norris did it once earlier in his career, too.

"the bunker"
terry norris...this guy had one of most perfectly managed careers in boxing history..

he made it into the pfp rankings by picking off guys moving up in weight or at the end of their careers....

terrible beard,,,,highly overrated(imo)....

loved that period though...simon brown vs tyrone trice?.....whoa !..

Norris at his best was a damn good fighter but you are correct in that he had a weak beard. I recall Santana even buzzed him though he was getting the tar beat out of him. Norris looked brilliant taking Julian Jackson apart in the 1st rd but that devastating ko probably shortened his career and led to his beard being a bit fragile. I imagine Norris isn't doing so well these days. Many yrs back I recall him being interviewed and he sounded pretty awful.
