I beg to differ... take a look at the instant replay Romi, he was going for it! Not the kind of video one should be inspecting while at Disneyland my friend.

:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

One view was enough for me. I dont want to get a lifetime ban at Disneyland :mj07:. You know they took Jacko out of here until the poor guy died. Now apparently they are bringing him back.

Things are going well here . Have a few wagers in place that I believe will pay for the trip. I think Seda SHOULD more than get the job done but Christ that line has moved...-270 to -500 :scared. Good luck Brother!

Hey Romi, what book opened Seda at -270. Only number that I saw in my books is -500.

Isn't it too soon for Lundy to come back from a KO loss. It's been only month and a half. Or is he still insisting that he only tripped and reff stepped in too soon.

The Segura Calderon fight is really intriguing!

I really think Segura has a shot, Calderon has no power, so a decision seems likely.
However, so many Calderon fights have ended in a td recently that the whole thing becomes very unpredictable. IMO Calderon benefitted big time by the tech decisions in those fights.
If this fight wasnt in puerto rico and if all those tds hadnt happened, I would probably bet more on Segura. I was also contemplating to bet the over, as Calderon has virtually no power. But Calderon wins another tec. dec. I would lose both bets...

Hey Old Dirty,

SB opened up Seda at -275. I was fortunate enough (we'll see) to grab him at that price. It didn't last long.

Weekend Plays

Weekend Plays

Cesar Seda (-275) - large
I caught the early line on this one, and would not touch it at current price. Seda seems like the real goods, a couple levels above M.Sonsona who beat Lopez last time out. I think this will be a tough fight though, and don't think Seda will have it all his own way. Lopez a tough gritty veteran and will not go quietly. In the end though, I think the youth and skill level tell.

Giovanni Segura (+240) - medium well Also got generous early odds here, and went sizable on it. Knowledgeable fans are hip to the plot here. When will Calderon lose? Is he slowing down? I think yes, and he is fighting a destroyer who is in his prime. Obviously the Segura of the first Canchila fight would be outclassed in embarrassing fashion against Ivan, but I think this fight did him a lot of good. He has looked devastating since, and I think has shown considerable boxing improvement. Segura looks so much bigger and stronger than Ivan, and I think it's his time.... Segura by overpowering KO!

Henry Lundy (-115) - small
I know I know, but Lundy's antics last time out won me fairly big. Up until his meltdown he was actually looking very classy, much better than I thought he was. I don't like him coming in on short notice, or so quick after a KO loss, but I think he is just flat out better than Lowther, who has been matched very soft. Lowther on 'home ground', but I still think Lundy has the goods to soundly outpoint him.

Matthysse-Castaneda Jr. OVER 5.5 (-125) - very small
Castaneda is a tough vet, and prone to going rounds. I don't like that the fight is in Argentina, but 5.5 isn't that deep. I think the fight goes at least this long. Plus I think Matthysse, although tenacious, is crude and overrated. I would not be surprised at all to see Castaneda give him a tough go of it in general.

Good luck fellas!

Couture-Toney

Couture-Toney

James Toney (+500) - small I'm including this in the boxing forum because, well, Toney is, and will always be considered foremost a boxer. I've been reading the MMA forum and opinions all around, and realize I will, and maybe rightly so, take some ribbing for this. I understand that Toney's only real chance is to land flush before any takedown occurs. I think +5 is worth the tickle that Toney will do exactly that. Toney KO1!

Come on Quanah, I really think odds on Couture are unbelievable good.
It seems to me everybody speculate on Randy fighting a stupid fight or Toney catching him when he shoots. I think odds of that happening are much closer to 15:1 than 5:1.
