LL Florez (+750) - medium All right, I'm gonna get this one out there, because I think this little hussy Acosta is over rated in more ways than one. First of all, I don't think she's all that hot. I mean, she's all right, but the attitude takes her down a few pegs for me. As a fighter, she hasn't done shit. A close examination of her record reveals severe protection. Her best win is against 9-5 Nicole Woods, who has been outclassed numerous times. She's also 32. Home in Argentina is of course a big help, but Florez is a tough customer. She recently went to Uruguay and KO'd the very highly regarded Chris Namus in the 1st. I say this fight is up for grabs! Acosta may win, but +750 is WAY off. Acosta getting about 500 points because of this little pussy act, and I for one hope she gets tamed. Small wager = huge payoff here.

More picks

Matthew Marsh (-225) - medium well Marsh is a good fighter. He gave Booth all he could handle recently, and has faced a good standard of opposition. The same cannot be said for his opponent Hughes, who has faced a series of tomato cans, and has not always had things his own way. I think Marsh is a different class and wins this handily.

Jason Booth (+280) - medium I am in the fortunate position of having Booth closing out some parlays with Burns and company from last weekend, so actually I've got him at better than 5 to 1. I like Booth here, and see this fight in much the same mold as the Burns result last weekend. Molitor the more talented guy, but the timing seems right for an inspired Booth upset. Home field may mean a lot here, and Booth, after coming back from shambles, will give everything he has. For Molitor's part, he seems to have righted the ship a bit in his last fight against Ndlovu, but before this he was looking like a fighter gone seriously south. I give Booth an excellent chance to pull this off.

W. Klitschko W12 (+250) - medium rare I think Wlad wins this fight, but I don't think he will knockout Peter. Wlad talking tough, but come fight I see him reverting back to his safety first standards and cruising to a points victory. He can easily outbox Sam, so why would he trade with a heavy puncher and risk getting ko'd? There is a chance Wlad could wear him down late, but I don't think so. Save the McCline fight, Sam looks to have a pretty good chin. 118-110 Wlad.

Justin Savi (-115) - medium rare I think this will be a very competitive fight. Garza seems to be improving, but I get the impression that Savi is a fighter going places. He entirely dominated the Frenchman Cyril Thomas last time out, in France, and Thomas had been fighting well. I pegged Savi as a better than 2 to 1 favorite, and had I seen these odds, I would've left this alone. At pick'em odds though, I'm gonna go on this a little and hope that my sense about Savi is right.

I'm not done, but I'm gonna save the rest of my picks to consider some things further.

I HATE betting dogs that won't get there -
smart man once said you will go broke betting "value"
:nono:

BUT, that stated

I think Cauthen and Florez each have outside shot.

Not sure who the hell O'Donnell has ever beaten to justify -1400.
Cauthen the FAR better opposition - but his style can be quite negative and ugly for judges.

And that pussy cat's meow seems pretty weak (2 KOs).
But, viewing recent Lazarte and Maidana bouts, its evident that Argentina is probably the single hardest place to win on the road IN THE WORLD. That Colombian better be a fast starter and pack one hell of a punch.

Gonna touch both, but too many "Giovanni Lorenzo" bets will make your money disappear faster than sausages do inside ?La Gata? Acosta.

absolutely dead on,g.k...well said.........i get caught up in wagering on what look like "value" bets with little chance of payout way too often...

it`s fun,but not always profitable...

i see that both women fought diana ayala...the film of acosta showed ayala to be relatively lame...couldn`t get any info on how one-sided flores` fight with ayala was...no hable espaniol...

acosta looks like a counter puncher...compact shots with pretty good form for a woman...and no power...she`s built like a female curtis parker.....squat and thick for a woman...

flores looks like a busy long puncher....kind of like a female breidis prescott....her right elbow strays too far outside and it costs her power(looks like)...but she still has clubbing power...
she put some tall undefeated broad on roller skates wity the right hand...

i`m seeing +750?...seems generous...but you`re probably betting on a stoppage...acosta seems to keep a rleatively high guard like menzer...

btw...i was looking at the scores for menzer/flores and it looked like basically a shut out...very weird because i actually watched one round of that fight on youtube and gave the round to florez based on work rate and aggresiveness.... ..maybe the rest was a one-sided beatdown...

fighting away is tough business...

Wladimir with his career high!
Peter looks in pretty good shape actually!

I guess, Cauthen is worth a shot, the odds on Salido to win late agaisnt Gamboa look very tempting as well. I mean +3700 7-12!
And Gamboa looked very vulnerable in his last fight!

I totally agree with Zerwas, some dogs seems to offer value,

e.g.
Rich Power
Terrance Cauthen
Orlando Salido
LL Florez

In addition, I will bet some $ on draws this weekend, as for a lot of fights you can get < +6000 up to +15000. Not to forget some DCs.

Regarding the Klitschow fight, there is no "real value" bet offered, K. will maybe KO his opponet, but at this price...maybe a late Ko or Dec win... still looking fro some nice plays.

Cheers

Anyone watching O Donnell v Cauthen?

its starting rnd 6 and O Donnell is winning
the announcers said Cauthen got to UK late and had trouble coming down in weight at his age

either that info is true or Cauthen has signed the dreaded silent agreement...fishy sparring session
