FVCKING Lanardo Tyner cost me my biggest chunk of change this entire year when he upset Antoine Smith a few months ago and he fights 19-30 Christian Favela to a draw tonight

In a battle of former world title challengers, bantamweight Nestor Rocha dominated Jose Navarro throughout eight rounds, winning a unanimous decision on Friday night in Parking Lot 7 at L.A. LIVE (across from STAPLES Center). All three judges scored the bout 79-73 in favor of Rocha.

Farias TKO 2 over Woods

The unbeaten Argentina Anabella "La Pantera" Farias successfully defended the lightweight interim title endorsed by World Boxing Council (WBC) to win by TKO in the second round of the American Nicole Woods, the main battle was a billboard organized this Friday night Viceroys, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Since the bell rang, Woods dominated Farias, who easily passed in the first assault. In the second, Farias sent to the canvas with Woods and although she got up, was punished incessantly, forcing referee intervention.

With this result, Farias improved its record to 9-0 with 5 knockouts, while Woods fell to 07/01/1911.

Here you go Romi!!!!

If my Spanish is correct, and I think it is, Farias took care of Woods via 2nd round KO.

I'll post the Spanish article I found...

I read in another forum that Mora was made to lose the 3 pounds!

Interestingly, a lot of fighters came in overweight (Baldomir) and they questionned whether something was wrong with the scales.

I'm also a bit surprised that Mora had to lose the extra weight and was fined as well!

Now, I dont know if the the re-weigh-in was on another scale or if Mora had to spent 1 hour in the sauna (which would weaken him a lot)!

Any insight would be much appreciated.

I also think that Konecny should be too strong for Hall. Was hall training though?! He is a late replacement.
I was fortunate to get some good odds on Frenkel. His power could be the deciding factor, but Frenkel quite recently admitted in an interview that his strength is also his weakness, e. g. he doesnt like to get hit (and Enzo can hit a bit as well).
I see Murat Cleverly going some rounds, with Cleverly probably eking out the win!

Sat. picks

Sat. picks

Well, still a little bummed from Dapudong loss. I really felt good about that one. I'll need a good day today to make up the ground.

First, I think Kell Brook dusts up Jennings. No secret there.

Lucas Konecny (-155) - medium well I don't think much of Hall at all. Not a good chin on him. Konecny the much more proven vet. Kon has good defense too. I see him wearing Hall down, probably scoring stoppage somewhere along the way.

Enzo Maccarinelli (+100) - medium well I don't think Enzo is shot. Losses to Haye and Lebedev looked bad, but those guys are very very good. Afolabi loss was disturbing, but he was doing a job on him until collapse. I think he may have righted the ship now, and that he finds the going much easier against Frenkel, who I think is over rated. I saw Frenkel against green Torgonyi, and was very unimpressed. Last win against Simms was poor too. Simms not applying himself at all. I say Enzo knocks Frenkel out, maybe early.

Antonio Escalante (+200) - medium well Good early odds here. I think Ponce has peaked. He's trying to box more these days, but seems to have sacrificed that ferocity which was largely effective for him. He's not going to out box Escalante. If he goes after him it will be a dogfight, but I think Escalante has the all around game to effectively combat whatever Ponce does. Pick'em fight here, but I think Escalante rises to the occasion.

Good luck fellas!!
