I have a couple big plays tonight:

Edren Dapudong (-140) - big I like this kid Dapudong. He's a young guy, and seems to be quickly improving. In some video I saw, he looked sensational. Quick, good instincts, and very accurate puncher. I think this kid has some star quality. Check out his KO1 over highly-regarded J.Jimenez on youtube. It was clear from the opening bell who the superior fighter was, and fight was over just like that. He was just so much faster than Jimenez, and I think the case will be the same against Uicab. I've seen Uicab, in his workmanlike decision over A.Hernandez a few years back. He's tough, but straight ahead, nothing exceptional. Fight a hometown one for Uicab, but I think the class difference will tell early on.

Alisher Rahimov (-115) - big Rahimov finally getting some attention. He's a former Olympian, and has barely lost a round as a pro. Holds a clear victory over O.Yefimovich, which looked more special before Yefi's last fight. Still, I think Rahimov is the goods. Perea is undefeated, but also untested. He was challenged in his last fight against a comebacking Mexican journeyman. It's hard to know with the Mexican fighters before they step up, but Perea will have to be very good to beat Rahimov.

EA Farias (-260) - small Gotta feel confident taking the home fighter in Argentina. Another chick fight, but Farias has been more impressive than Acosta from last week. I get the sense that she is the real deal. N.Woods is a tough girl, but she loses whenever she steps up. Don't see how she'll be able to overcome Argentina.

In regards to the Hernandez-Anchondo fight... I was all set to take Hernandez if odds would have been acceptable, but they're not. I think Hernandez is a B-level fighter. He has been challenged numerous times (Tackie, Carson Jones) against fighters a real contender should take care of. He was also on his way to getting ko'd by R.Garcia before cut. I don't think much of Anchondo, and thought he was all washed up at 130lbs years ago. I thought he would look very thick and out of shape at welter but he doesn't. He actually looks more muscular at welter than he did at 130 years ago. for Hernandez' part, he looked gangly and gaunt at the weight. Hernandez should win this, but I think +800 is well worth the fun, and Anchondo will find a way to make this interesting.

Good luck fellas!
Big Saturday to come!

With you on Farias Brother. Loved the early odds. I'm also on Mora. I think the kid is live here and as long as he isn't intimidated by Shane, He has a VERY good shot. He HAS to fight and show no respect. Have a bit on Canelo and a few parlays working.

I read degale had to lose 6 lbs:scared in 2 days. I'm glad it's just a 10 rder. Hopefully he comes in about 10 lbs heavier tomorrow. Dilks doesn't have much pop so I'm not overly concerned but then again 6 lbs is a lot to lose in 2 days. Good Luck!

according to Nicole Woods facebook page (posted last night):

"So just finished the weigh in. weighed in at exactly 135 she weighed in at 130.5. Had some gatorade and started rehydrating so the big day is tommorrow and feeling real good!"

I still think the Argentine girl wins, but what the hell is the weight class for this fight?

I'm gonna take a shot at the plus number with Rocha tonight. I know he has been sparring with Katsidis. Navarro has been in a lot of tough fights and may have slowed a step. Nestor also a damn good body puncher.

Navarro rightfully favored, but hopefully Rocha can surprise.

Also, Old Dirty, I think the OVER 5.5 in the Hernandez-Anchondo fight is another good play.

Boxingscene showing Mora came in @157...3lbs over. Shane made 154. Not sure what the ruling is going to be. Seems like we are seeing this more and more though. If he doesn't have to lose the wt then he gets an obvious advant of not having to drain himself. IF Mora is forced to lose the wt then you got to think he'll be drained @fighttime. I wouldn't blame Mos for forcing him to lose the wt or cancel the fight altogether.

Well, here we go... Looks like Perea pulled out. Rahimov now fighting a Mexican named Sergio Thompson???? Yeah, that's right Thompson. Fight getting ready to start now.

Thompson 14-1 (13) was slated to fight on the undercard.

Fairly evenly matched thru 5. Rahimov winning but Thompson giving it a good go. Rahimov doesn't look that great, and maybe it was a good thing Perea isn't in there. If he's much better than Thompson it could have been trouble.

Tough, gritty fight. Scores:

117-111 Rahimov
115-113 Thompson
118-110 Rahimov

I'd say 8-4, 7-5 Rahimov. After seeing what I did, I'm not too disappointed fight was scratched. Rahimov is tough, but a little guy, and looks beatable vs. right opposition.

Dapudong up next!!!!!!!
