"I said, ?Well, I can?t answer that. I?ll just call Bill Bell,?" Rogers said.
Rogers said he called Bell, a former teammate and a roofing contractor in Santa Rosa, Fla., and left a message. Bell then apparently called former Mississippi State quarterback John Bond, who then informed then-Mississippi State athletics director Greg Byrne.
Rogers said he met Cam Newton at the hotel on Friday night for the first time and doesn't know if Cam was aware of the alleged pay for play scheme.

My first time meeting Cam was at the Mississippi State game, the night before at the hotel. That was my first time seeing him, shaking his hand and everything.?
