Come on corley... all 3 stories have fallen apart.

1) Schlabach, Forde, and Low's article siting only John Bond and making it appear as if Bond spoke directly to the former teammate who ESPN named as Kenny Rogers. Neither Schlabach, Forde, or Low ever spoke to Rogers. They day after the story hit Bond went on Atlanta radio and said he didn't speak to the one asking for money, but that there were 2 people in between. He also claims through his attorney that he never named Rogers, and Rogers denied any wrongdoing on that Friday as well.

2) Thayer Evans wrote an article claiming Cam was caught cheating 3 times. Our very own here at AuburnSports.com talked to two people on the honor committee who say Newton never came before the board, was never scheduled to come before the board, and had he come before the board it doesn't mean he would have been expelled. They also said no player came before the committee while Urban has been there. So, if Cam actually cheated UF covered it up because he passed the classes, and was cleared to transfer by the NCAA.

3) Joe Schad reports from 2 sources who recruit for MSU that they had phone conversations with both Cam and his father. Joe admitted on Finebaum yesterday afternoon that his sources had no proof. Joe's article also said that MSU reported the referenced phone conversations to the SEC. The SEC says those conversations were not a part of EITHER report sent to them by MSU, meaning January or July.

Some of you guys are out of your minds. Its pretty obvious this guy is guilty. He had a chance to clear his name yesterday and he simply kept his mouth shut. This guy has fucked up over and over again. Its just a matter of if the NCAA can pin this on him or not. I'm curious what will be revealed today. :)

Like I said earlier... I think it's best to let everything play out before everyone starts pointing the finger and making accusations...

Trampled. Why fuel the fire by denying it? Think about it for 2.5 seconds before you reply. He just got drug through the mud by Florida saying he left because he was about to be expelled and cheated left and right.

Would anyone even believe him if he denied something at this point??? No. because Florida worked very hard at destroying his credibility.

Serious question though. And this is why I think it's looking more and more like a smear campaign at this point.

Why did Florida wait until Auburn was 10-0 and Newton was the front-runner for the heisman to release the information about him being the biggest cheater in florida academic history?

Also - can you point out where any of this makes it "obvious he's guilty" try to keep your opinions out of your response and stick to facts. if you can find any.

Cie - you honestly believe that any of the journalists breaking these stories are really "risking their necks"? I don't see it that way at all.

IMO, these men have too much to lose in an industry in which your word means everything to be waging some form of smear campaign against an innocent man.

If its not true he should have stated so.

Who cares when it came out. Is it true or not?

Very simple.

I am dissapointed that I only see +8 out there. When I read WarEagle was able to find 5.5, I was hoping that I would find a piece of that. No such luck. Would love a middle opportunity at 6,7 and 8

it looks like i got very lucky, i bought .5 off of 6 at a small book while everyone else had 7s out there...i see it's back to 8.5 almost everywhere now

speaking of rumors and stuff falling a part, where is the concrete evidence that ties the leaks to Florida?

Please stop making sense, Poon. You are disturbing the flow of this thread:mj07:

I just hope that in a couple years when Cam is the starting QB for the Cleveland Browns or Buffalo Bills, this thread will still be on Page 1 for all to discuss college football scandals, both real and alleged.

The Auburn fans are so delusional it's ridiculous. There could be a payoff on video tape and they would deny it. Of course who could doubt the second most penalized program in NCAA history?

Blinn is just down the road from me. It was pretty well known Cam was shopping which is one of the reasons Texas didn't even bother talking to the "next Vince Young" -plus Mack is
anti-Juco. Whether it gets proved who knows. But the Auburn folks are defying any hint of credibility.

some big time football players get payed .... always have, always will and more in the near future will take money... there are to many people with money that want to see their schools win.. It dosen't happen directly threw the schools and most of them don't even know about the play for pay...:SIB .... this guy and his dad were smart to ask for & take the money.. this is America.. the ncaa , coaches, ad's, presidents can all go to the bank on the backs of these players and talk about preserving amateur sports... this is big business, share the wealth ... we have come to a point that players and their families would be crazy not to seek pay for play... just because a player gets payed, doesn't change what happens or happened on the field. If anyone thinks that this is the only case of play for play, I don't know what to tell you.. I'll bet there are at least 100 players getting payed right now .... this should not be a story... The fact that some people display (fake outrage) is the story.
