Holding opponents under 100
The Pacers have won five straight games and have been a very tough home team this season, posting a 21-7 record. Today, they host the Hornets, who?ve won three of their most recent five, but have struggled playing at Bankers Life Fieldhouse posting a 3-16 record over their most recent 19.
With Indiana holding opponents under 100 points in three straight and four of the last five, look for them to keep the Hornets, who only average 109.8 on the road on 44.1 percent shooting, contained. Take Under their team total of 106.
Dominating the paint
The Wizards have won two straight games but have posted a dismal 7-21 road record this season. Today, they travel to Detroit to take on a Pistons team who have won three straight and four of their last five contests.
No one in the Association surrenders more points per game on the road than the Wizards at 118.7 per game. Opponents versus Washington are averaging 50.6 points in the paint and are coming off a game surrendering 78 to the Bulls.
Look for Detroit's Andre Drummond to take advantage of a team vulnerable in the post who give up an average of 24.1 points on 57.2 percent shooting and 15.7 rebounds to opposing centers. Take Over his points, rebounds, assists total of 34.5.
Finding success versus Toronto
The Nets visit the Raptors tonight, having lost nine of the most recent 10 trips to Toronto and take on a Raps team who have been dominant on their home court all season posting a 22-5 record.
In the two prior meetings this season, Brooklyn's D'Angelo Russell shot 13 of 22 for 29 points, and in the second meeting 10 of 19 for 24 points. Look for similar numbers today as Russell has attempted 20 or more shots in eight of the last 10 games and has logged no less than 20 points in eight of the last 10. Take Over his points total of 21.5.
Backing another big
The Clippers travel to Minnesota having won 17 of the most recent 24 in the head-to-head matchup, and nine of the last 12 on the road at Target Center. The Timberwolves have been in free fall, losing six of their last seven games overall, but should be happy to return home where they are 17-10.
Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns is in a favorable spot versus a Clippers team giving up an average of 50.6 points in the paint this season and have struggled defending opposing center's surrendering 25.6 points on 54.3 percent shooting and 16.9 rebounds per game. Take Over Town's points, rebounds, assists total of 39.5.
High scoring for the half
The Blazers have played well historically versus the Thunder winning six of the last eight at Chesapeake Energy Center, and seven of the last 10 overall by an average score of 111-107, where they have shot 47 percent from the field.
Both teams have shot the ball well early on this season with Oklahoma City averaging 58.4 first half points per game at home, and the Blazers are coming off a game scoring 60 versus a tough defense in the Mavericks. Back the first half game total Over 111.5.
