again..you have an LT avatar..talk about being ironic...how did he do in the NE playoff game when he was on the sideline with his helmet all game?...why did he get a pass?

I love the way you change the topic at hand... who cares whos on my avatar. im just too lazy to change it but that's why the Bolts got rid of him cause he was selfish. You better hope the bears do the same with Cutler if you want your team to get better in the future.

Maurice Jones-Drew: ?All I?m saying is that he can finish the game on a hurt knee ? I played the whole season on one ??

Asante Samuel: ?If he was my teammate I would be looking at him sideways. ? I luv my QB @mikevick he has the heart of a lion. I guess others are scared of success

Kirk Morrison: ?If my knee was hurt or acl/mcl/pcl sprain, I would not be standing up on the sideline.?

Darnell Dockett: ?If I?m on chicago team jay cutler has to wait till me and the team shower get dressed and leave before he comes in the locker room!

I will.

Maybe you can research your team's playoff games that year before then too. You'll see he hurt his leg against Indy so then Billy Volek came in to get the winner. So Rivers played the next game with an ACL injury against New England and lost the game because it was all about him.

yeah you sound like a blow by night..not a bears fan...let me know when you make it to the nfl...i'd like to follow your career:mj07:

you most likely didnt even play college ball, so shut your trap

if it were aaron rodgers. or big ben...a couch potato calling out an nfl players toughness is moronic and ironic....:moon:

Yeah your right Dice , I didnt play college ball and probably neither did you. But I can tell you one thing, as a Pitcher in college and a short lived career in the low minors, I NEVER GAVE UP THE BALL ON THE MOUND....WILLINGLY.

Cutler gave up , he should know that at 70% he's better than a 100% Todd Collns or Calib Hanie and if he's not ...then he should give back some of that $$$ he's making.

Im not here to bash Cutler or praise him, but there is a reason this is the first time he's had an above .500 record since High School.

The trouble with this whole argument is probably 1/2 those players critcizing him are behind in child support payments, and if Cutler is found to have serious damage in his knee, those who criticize him won't believe it anyways.

come back tomorrow after you sober up to see how stupid your comment is:0074

Sober and the facts are still the same. Rivers hurts his leg, stays on the field for a 3 and out against the Colts and Volek comes in to win the game

http://espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=280113011

Instead of letting Volek give them the best chance to win, Rivers has surgery on his ACL on Tuesday but then plays injured against the Pats on Sunday

http://espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=280120017

and throws for 211 yards with a 50% completion percentage and 2 picks.

The "gutsy" move isn't to play hurt and give your team no chance to win.

I dont see how anyone can defend Cutler after that copout by him. He obviously couldnt get it done so he opted out with an "injury". Lets face it people. Cutler is a D%#K and this latest act confirms it.:sadwave:

only people without an original thought jump on Cutler (you fit this description)...they just follow along with what everyone else says....

the guy plays in the NFL with Diabetes

sacked over 50 times, and hit 3 times that, did you ever hear him complain? dog his lineman?...no you didnt

the guy also doesnt slide when he runs, like most "tough guy" qbs....

the fact is he came out in the 3rd..couldnt complete a 6 yard pass, short hopped it....and that was that...he couldnt get it done on his leg

like i said armchair qbs amuse me....but monday armchair qbs take the cake

Lets see what the MRI reports.

Cutler shouldnt have stood on the sideline if he was injured that bad. He should have gone into the locker room.

I had identified Cutler to have a sandy va ja ja
in the regular season and won money from his
shenanigans.

lets see......a guy who went inactive the last two games of the year with his team playing for a division title and playoff bid is criticizing a guy who played behind 5 turnstyles....err......offensive lineman who couldnt block, gave up 50+ sacks, 9 in one half leading to a concussion, numerous other hits all year, has diabetes,

YET

he begged out of the nfc title game at half and wasnt really that injured?????

i know people dont like cutler for his demeanor, and thats fine, i get it......but the way he's being called out is completely off base.

if anything......call out the staff and martz for having todd collins ON the roster AND ahead of haine all year......esp after watching collins start vs carolina 3 months ago........if haine were the #2 and getting SOME reps all year, maybe he'd have been a bit more prepared and executed a bit better and he did a hell of a job as it was.....and to that point......as a bears fan, i'd take haine's performance (knowing what it was) over an injured sitting-duck cutler behind that line

agree with all of that.

As long as Martz is running offense
things in the NFL for Chicago will suffer.

If they let Lovie Smith go and put Martz in there as head coach, that would be the worst thing for the Bears long term future that could happen.

mike martz as head coach of the bears???

no chance

personally, i'd like him to stay on as o-coord as he's a major improvement over what we had, changing syetems AGAIN would set cutler and the offense back and i think he evolved as a play caller as the year went on (except for the last two gb games and maybe we just dont match up with them....sure didnt see many wr getting open in those two games)

the o-line needs to get bigger, younger and better.....signing a starting caliber guard thru fa would be nice and it also needs a true #1 wr and i wouldnt mind seeing a young rb to compete with taylor for the #2 spot (starks should have been that guy but angelo backtracked and went with levefour) who can also play st so they can get rid of wolfe

think we've seen the last of collins, clark and aromashodu (and hopefully wolfe).....wouldnt completely surprise me if they dumped taylor and manumanuela (although not sure of their contract status).

P. Rivers did have the same injury in 2008 against the Colts in the playoffs and came out and played and had surgery 2 days later.

actually he didnt

he got injured DURING the colts game, didnt get carted off, stood on the sidelines and never returned. the chargers won with volek qb most of the 2nd half (hey, just like cutler yesterday)

THEN, rivers had surgery and went out and played a week later (poorly) vs the pats and lost (cutler wasnt given that chance as the bears lost)

grade 2 mcl tear
injury usually costs player 3-5 weeks

behind that offensive line, i wouldnt put anybody back there who couldnt move laterally and who couldnt put weight on the front/plant leg
