Had one for a while and ended up getting rid of it. Mine wasn't very easy to set up and forget about customer service. Worked pretty well for about 2 months and started having issues. Had pretty much every movie ever made. Live sports were tough - the screen would freeze and the picture quality was poor. Some of the channels go down from time to time and may never come back so you are constantly looking for content. They're rough on your wi-fi router as well. Your wifi's lifespan only has only so many downloads. I burned mine out fairly quickly. Maybe this will help?

I have two and have used them for months without an issue. A friend programs them. If you want one let be know he can probably mail it to you easily. It's cool, it's basically a booster for your WI fi and you can watch anything and everything including ppv events free

I watched the Hateful eight before it was in theaters. It is basically just streaming to your television. You don't need netflix because everything is available on the Internet. My buddy charges $65 and all you have to do is plug it in to your hdmi port and to a power outlet and you're watching unlimited porn, and movies I suppose. If that's what you're into.

I'll stick with Directv until you can get live sports, great idea for an extra bedroom though

FYI...you need extremely fast internet for the steaming to work properly. If not it sucks!!! Freezes constantly. Also check the area you are in. I have it and got top speed net and an extra router and it still doesn't work properly. Other friends that live in different areas has same set up and works fine for them

Do yourself a favor and get an Mbox instead of the stick. Also, make sure it's the 2gig of ram. Mine flies thru everything including my iptv that has every single channel you could ever want.

Also, I don't have that high of internet speed and I never have issues. That includes when I'm streaming HD live tv.

Cut cable about a year ago and been running solely Fire TV. Finally got around to installing Kodi with help from a YouTube video. Took about 20 minutes but it's a game changer. Genesis is awesome and I haven't even explored all the other sites it opened as well. If you have Fire TV definitely do it. It's free and well worth it.

Guys you might as well buy one and just learn how to install Kodi and the addons(I would use a wizard). You're going to have to at some point because of upgrades. You will have to delete and re install but once you get use to it that only takes 10 minutes at the most.

BDB, Genesis has gone down hill from what it use to be. The developer has stopped updating a lot of the stuff in it but is said to be coming out with either a new Genesis or another Add on with a different name but very similar to it. If it doesn't work for you SALTS is a very good alternative. Phoenix is also good for different reasons, mainly live sports.

If you guys look you can find free live tv feeds for pretty much every channel. You can then link it to IVue tv guide and it works just like a normal cable tv guide at that point.

Damn, reading this thread is like trying to learn Chinese language for non-techie guys like myself. Can someone please come to Atlanta and do whatever is needed? I am sick and tired of paying $180 per month for something I barely even use. Just seems like a waste.

Thanks for the heads up. I know Phoenix was installed as well, just haven't played with it yet. Genesis was the first thing I opened. 1 prime or whatever that is got good reviews as well.

Do you or anyone else know how to make Kodi an icon on fire TV.?It's not hard to go to applications and manually open it each time. Takes just a few seconds but would be much cooler if it was an icon.
