In the Phoenix folder in Videos, open the Staael2014 folder for great current and soon to come out HD movies.

Great website for all your questions.

Please don't pay someone to do something that will take 15 minutes and cost $40.

I bought one Thursday that was unlocked all excited to watch a movie and Friday night was horrible, the internet signal sucks on this thing. I upgraded to the best Comcast has to offer with new hardware and cables as well. We watched a movie and it kept buffering and I could not find it in HD, why else have one of these things. As of right now I hate it. I downloaded the HD movies add on and maybe that will help. Anyone have these issues? What can I try to get a better signal?

What movie? Some of the newer ones u can't find in HD, so u just have to wait a few weeks to see. What is your internet speed when u test it on a computer? U need 20k minimum I think. The speed issue is usually from the host site where the movie comes from if u have fast internet. You have to also clear your cache regularly. Did u have access to any good quality movies, or did they all buffer?

Just got fire stick with Kodi , using the Phoenix app for movies. We have watched four movies with zero problems all in HD. Very cool so far, great information in this thread! Will play around with more apps as I become more familiar with everything. It's good to know I have guys here that can answer questions if needed. Great thread :0008

Honestly for the popular addons there might be times, like a Friday night, when they're overloaded. This will take some time but start using NaviX and find sources on it that don't show up in the "updated in the last 24hours" because that's where everyone looks. Once you find good sources save them to favorites so they're easy to find. Then during busy times use those to watch the movies you want. Navi X is also a great source for IPTV links.

Also, I don't have a firestick so I can't speak to it but I always have my Mbox hardlined to my internet. I get far fewer problems when I do that. If you're having problems with buffering do a speed test on your firestick to make sure you're at a high enough speed.

Guys, I have been using XBmC/now kodi for a long time. I used to do it through a laptop or a Amazon Kindle fire. It could be done but was somewhat complicated and had varying results, buffering, etc.
Christmas time I got a Amazon fire stick, this is the easiest YouTube video there has been thus far to put kodi on a fire stick. You do not need a android developers Bridge or any of that stuff that was previously needed. It works flawlessly. As far as watching television shows and movies. I had watched spotlight, hateful eight, concussion, the Martian, creed, the Reverent etc. etc. several before they were even available at the movies. Most of these on prime wire. Trust me, this is the easiest video, you can go through it in 10 min.

ironically enough the problems I am having with streaming speed and Wi-Fi in my other thread, are exclusively to Showtime anytime and HBO go, everything works perfectly with kodi.

I plan to work with it again tonight, I have some time now. I downloaded HD Movies in the add ons and hopefully it works better tonight. We watched a movie called Room Friday night and I could not find it in HD the picture was horrible  I am going to watch The Gambler and Mississippi Grind soon, or I plan too if I can figure out how to get a better signal and in HD

Old School, if you were here, I would fix up one for u for free. $70 isn't too out of line of the seller will give u good directions and support if needed. It's pretty simple to use, but there are some idiosyncrasies. The Fire TV will also be faster, but a little more expensive.

We figured out a new way to program the firestick, and it's so easy to install Kodi now.

What?s the latest on using kodi with a fire stick?

Realized no one in the house turned the TV on in a week except me for watching sports, so time to ditch the DISH network and find an alternative.

Worth it or is there something better out there?

Thanks, gents! 👍

No limits and the little guy. Those are the best (little guy first).

Go to YouTube and watch collectorkev. He explains it well, and u can do it yourself.
