there's never a reach for material when you're involved- between the multiple personalities, the 2-27 nights, and other miscellaneous gems you've shared, I could write a book.

Almost bedtime, OldMan?

I also doubt this post -but if true-you have several ways to go--from the sounds of it you have not hit rock bottom-you are close, but not quite there yet. Following anyone is a mistake-Nolan included-not a bash , just a fact.

Most bookies will take payments from you-hey, they want their money so they do not care if it comes in a little at a time-paying that kind of $$ back will be a kind of therapy for you-look at it as a cleansing------you say you only make 25,000 a year but have a house and car well--sell the house and car and pay of your debts--if that does not do it and he wont take payments (which I doubt) you can always sell everything and blow town-buyt that running away from your problems and you have a lot to face--suck it up and talk to the man-dont try to hide from him, you will be better off in the long run

Mr. Hockey I'm with you. It's ridiculous to say that gambling or booze or small amounts of pot or anything similar will ruin your life. It's idiot hysterical claims like that which led to prohibition and the kyl bill. The truth is that anything in moderation is fine. What I get tired of is the government making decisions for all the people of its country based on the lack of self control of a small few

The ignorance of some of you people blows my mind. The truth is that just because something in moderation isn't addicting to YOU, doesn't mean it isn't to other people. Just because YOU can bet on games and not let it run your life, doesn't mean it happens to other people. Gambling is like alcohol or drugs to some people, it's an addiction. For some people, they don't have a choice in the matter, it's not a ****ing conscious decision to bet or not. Just because smoking pot to you is a hobby, doesn't mean there aren't people who can't go without it. Addictions are physical and mental. Some of you need to leave the little pipehole you live in and learn about life and things on a larger scale. Instead, you just get in your pissing contests on some internet gambling forum.

And as far as the government making decisions for you, why don't you move and try living in another country. I love when people blast our government! Then get the **** out and move. No one is forcing you to be here. Go ahead and see what life is like outside of this paradise, then come back and whine.

I'd love to know the educational level of some of you schmucks. I bet it stops at the high school level for a lot of you.

Saint: Actually it is people like you that need to put the pipe down. Every day people like this JR bitch & moan about their problems & look for pity. The man was blindly following someone for 2 years & wasn't having success, when does it become his responsibility to control such stupid decision making? Last I checked, I wasn't the one making chump change a year & betting what I ALWAYS knew I couldn't afford.

Mirror time

Where exactly in his post did he say he wanted sympathy? When you find it, please be sure to post it

All the guy was saying is, hey i made a mistake, be careful it doesn't happen to you. Then you asses come jump on him. Or maybe it helps him feel better to tell his story to people who bet and might understand. Just like how people vent after losses here. Who gives a crap about that either.

[To bounce Nolan like this is wrong and as long as you go on blaming others for the actions and decisions you make, nothing will change in your life. I have preached so much about bet sizing and money management my fingers are numb from typing. [/B]

Good Post Geno. I don't think he was bashing Nolan, but he should not have brought his name into it either. Nolan has the cojones to post his Free Picks and ppl still complain. I've won & lost w/Nolan and others who post, but the final decision and amount wagered is MY PICK. You should have checked yourself long before getting in too deep. I've never met Nolan, but I'll wager that no one would feel worse about this than him. Makes me wonder why anyone would ever want to post their picks again. Guess we haven't lost enough cappers yet.

jcjrbowl- I'm sure GA or the others counselers gave out info on contacts or phone#'s so this didn't get out of hand. No matter what I always believe things could be a lot worse. Hope this doesn't p*ss you off cause that is not my intent. Take responsibility for your actions- not Nolans.

Gotta agree and disagree with alot of what you say. No disrespect.

And believe it or not, my educational level is not matched by many. ;)

Two words: Money Management

This can be fun, play with what you have and are willing to lose, not anything else and you will be fine.

If you would pay attention to his last paragragh he is trying to help others that may headed down the same road. It does not matter how he got there but that he is at that point. If you do not think gambling can not be addictive and life changing you are ignorant to the fact.It happens to thousands of people evey year. I have seen how many hours alot of you including me spend there time on line chasing the dream instead of doing other productive things in life. Just ask my wife if it changes lives. It has changed ours. But I at least I do have money managment and do not lose money I do not have. So I hope if there is anybody out there that is on the same track as jcjrbowl consider getting help! Good luck to ya jcjrbowl.
