Yep, a lot of the trees are poplars. I don't care about the big ones. There are 4 or 5 of them, plan on just trimming those. It's the small ones I plan on getting a chainsaw or axe and getting rid of those (they are not that big). Luckily, I don't have any dead ones on my property. However, it will take some work. They are on a bit of an uphill slope.

Rent a chain saw and stump grinder for a 1/2 day and knock em out. Simple game that will probably cost you less than $200.

stump grinder..4 hours ..180.00 w/tax

have everything cut as close to the ground as possible..saves big time mess.

20'' saw runs ya 50.00 for 4 hours..

ya can use the grinnded wood in low beds if ya have any..

otherwise bag and throw away..

grass don't grow for shyt in the mess.

big time careful if ya haven't messed w/ a chainsaw much..

they can hurt your feelings real bad..

Better yet, rent the saw and cut trees. When finished take it back and rent the grinder. Unless you have someone to operate the grinder immediately after cutting the first tree. 2 guys 2 hours maybe and less rental fees.

Let me ask you a question.

I have an area of heavy brush that's about 4' high and pretty thick that I want to clear out. The area is about 100'x30'. Can a walk behind brush mower handle that and how long do you think it will take to do?

Thanks :0008

Oh, and what's the going rate that someone would charge for that? I can rent one for a whole day for $105 but if someone will do the job for $150 or less, I'll hire it out.

Sounds great, I was leaning towards the chainsaw. However, had no idea about the stump grinder :0074

Lastly, forgot to add I was going to rent a skidster to level off some of the uphill slope. Going to put a deck in back and thought it may be good for the area. The grass is a total mess out there so I'm not too worried about that. That's a project for next year. I guess there is some sort of grass you can buy that grows well in the shade.

is 4 foot really 5 foot..

is pretty thick actual Brazilian machete thick..

biggest thing is can a machine rip through it a ground level..

ideally an old zero with sharp blades and rip city and shoot to piles

if it can't then you are forced to hack and hack and super time consuming

can you open burn in your location..

if so can save a of of time and dumping fee to barrel burn it..

send me a pic if want..

I was thinking about getting top of the line dr walk behind. I was going to get the biggest one with mower attachment. I think it all comes to $5500, are they good
machines? I have 80 acres of Brush and what not, I want to make some nice trails. thought of hiring it out but with the dr I would have it for life. any thoughts

It's not level either and right in the middle is a drainage about 3' wide.

The neighbor flooded and called her builder and her builder said she flooded because my area there wasn't maintained. The water runs perfectly through there, it just has heavy buildup of brush on both sides. I figured I'd go ahead and clear it out now because I was going to eventually. Of course nobody believes that builder but I'm clearing it anyway.

Thanks.

OH! What would you charge to clear it out? It's about 100' x 30'

lotta cleaning buddy..

me..2 helpers...my rip and tear zero..2 bad ass weed eaters..an old Honda to final cut/ mulch /bag

debri to the street ..you call days ahead for pickup..assuming you have that city service..

3 foot gully is probably all weed eater and Honda down in the ditch as far as possible with destroying it..

6 hours on my best day..unless the pictures make it look taller than it actually is and it's not really overgrown brush holly shit thick as it appears.

$420.00

take a pic where I can see the area from like 15 feet away..need depth perception
