"Hey let's meet for drinks."

"Sounds great. Let meet at 9PM."

Probably not, though. For some reason, I kinda have a feeling I'd be like Charlie Brown and you'd by Lucy... I'd show up, and the football would be pulled away.....

And then your social skills show you are a complete fucking wierdo.

I guess there's one in every group..

Holy shit, you gave me the chills...

Good luck with all that Mags...

Wow.

I hardly step in the Politics Section of the forum not because I'm not informed but more because life is too short.

I've made a hobby of traveling the states and meeting up with other MJers. In doing so I've made some really good friends and I've met dozens.

Mags, your actions in this thread say a lot about you. Having asked DM for drinks, he graciously offers you dinner complete with a very detailed time and place; a welcoming response.

And then you slapped him blaming your own insecurities and social awkwardness on his perceived vulgarity and you "saving" your children from what maybe pure evil. Have you listened to the words on the radio? You DO let your kids listen to radio, right? I have never met a single MJer who wasn't a great guy in person.

Piss fucking poor man. And really sad. Seriously. You have issues. In real life. Fucking whack job.

Duff Miver, I would love to meet up and have a beer states side. Where do you reside?

Upstate SC. The buckle of the Bible Belt.

Sorry Woodson, I do protect my 4 year old from words like "F**K"..... and, based on the postings that Muffy has made, I couldn't be sure that he wouldn't be blurting this out...

Now, if you want to take issue with protecting young children from this type of language, well, I'm not sure what type of man you are. Maybe you watch porn and use those words with 3-4 year olds.... Happily, I don't.

To each his own. Heck, maybe you watch kiddie porn with your kiddies. More power to you. I'd rather my children wait until they are older to deal with the vulgarities in life.

We've had a great trip in Europe (except for the French of course, who are striking all transportation because they are raising the retirement age to 62 from 59 :mj07: )... what sad sacks they are.....

But anyway, if I knew Muff would act like a gentleman, and not use poor language infront of small children, I MAY have been there. But, at best it was a 50/50 proposition - so why take the chance?

Again, Woodson, if you had small children, you may understand. But I'm guessing you are older, and don't care how small children are treated. Which, of course, is your choice.

My children don't need to know the "F**K" word at the age of 4. Just sayin'

No worries - not gonna delete it - he wanted to know why I didn't meet Muffy - and it is very clear why I couldn't take the chance.

My wife wanted to see some of his posts before we'd meet him - I showed them to her, and she said no way, he is too vulgar.

And I agree. Civilized people don't speak that way.

Where did child pornography ever come into play?

Why would you even have those thoughts?

I really don't even know what to say.

Seriously, I don't want any part of any discussion with you ever going forward.

No worries - you shouldn't have jumped in to begin with.

But I'd bet you'd probably not allow the type of language that Muffy is famous for on these forums around your young children.

And that's what I'm saying.

How anyone can defend someone that talks that way, constantly via internet forums, is beyond me.

It says a lot about someone's character to have to use inappropriate language all the time.

As much as I disagree with duff on just about every issue, I would lay down a heavy wager that he is smart and civil enough to cut off the the profanity when around certain company.

Would be my view also.

Not Sure Woodson has seen what all muffins subscribes to--eg hating ole whitey and all white women love BBD's mentality. (By the way interesting pics Muffy)

However I would not have let it get that far myself--Once I found out he was wanting to meet at bar they stop at "almost every night" and it was in fact a flowershop:142smilie --that was would have been end of discussion --never been to France but I do know Fleurs is flowers.

You are absolutely, positively, full of shit. "striking all transportation"? LMAO! We rode the Metro many times each and every day. If you had , you'd know they were right on schedule, no problem or delay at all. We also rode the RER intracity trains, the TGV, and four intercity trains, every one of them on time right to the minute, as was our AirFrance departure.

Yes, there was a "strike", which consisted of off-duty employees throwing a good natured block party as they walked down city streets with their songs and banners. In fact we walked with them for a while. They all worked their regular shifts and nothing was disrupted.

IMG_0347.jpg

"Sad sacks"? Obviously you never made it to the rue Cler or any other decent neighborhood. If you had, you'd have found the cafes and bistros full of young and old folks, enjoying themselves, the street full of families, toddlers and babies in strollers, family dogs, middle income folks having a fine time until the wee hours.

Did you ever ever leave your freaking hotel? Did you visit any of the hundreds of historic sites, have an early morning espresso, talk to a shopkeeper, sanitation worker, lawyer or student? Did you ever try to speak just one word of French? Did you even bother to spend some time at Notre Dame, The Louvre, the War memorial?
IMG_0365.jpg

Did you check out the Sorbonne, the Marias district? The Latin quarter? Did you visit Jim Morrison's, or Edith Piaf's, or Oscar Wilde's graves at Pierre La Chaise? Did you tour Monet's garden, attend the opera? Did you pay respects at Van Gogh's house? Offer up a prayer at San Chappel?

IMG_0318.jpg

Did you do anything other than look down your nose at the residents of another country who are more free, more equal and far happier than you?

Of course you didn't. You are the epitome of the "ugly American" who gives the rest of us a bad name.

You whine about 4 letter words? try this one. FUCK YOU. Show that to your little wifey.

Fuck you too doggie. As I have already explained to you once, I made the error of being off by a few doors from the Cafe du Marche, and I've provided photos from the Du Marche from 2006 and last week. Same lady, same table. How 'bout you stick some "fluers" up your ass?

Im still trying to figure out why Muff would meet with that douchebag in the first place  Now the douchebag is accusing another poster of watching child porn. Not sure i see the correlation. Never saw anyone say a bad thing about Woodson

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
.another country who are more free

Nice pictures Duff!

Reporters Without Borders, which was founded and is based in France, lists US #20 and France #43 for for press freedom.

The Freedom Index lists US above France in the all-important categories of "Freedom of expression" and "Freedom from corruption"

US also above France in nearly any other category you choose to tick off at the Index

in terms of economic freedom, US is usually around 8-15, and France 50-70, depending on the list ya look at. Taxes and regulations a big part of this ranking.

I remember a gal who always came to my buddies rooms in Roussillon to watch "Sex and the City" 'cause she wanted to get out of paying the ?116 tax (Redevance audiovisuelle) for her TV and it was about the only series she watched. But she was hoping to be poor enough next year to get off this TV tax in her taxe d'habitation.

For those who think the American tax code is complex, check out the Code g?n?ral des imp?ts!

Wow Mags, I've seen desperate attempts to slander a guy before, but to imply that a guy is so depraved, he watches kiddie porn with his own kids?

Now, who's being the vulgar one?

Or their socialized schooling, free from age 3 though high school and inexpensive thereafter..or their 4 month paid maternity leave...or their retirement at age 60...or the wages that let our waiter rent a $1300 apartment...or have to buy goods with a Euro that is now worth $1.40 to the dollar.

And God knows, I'd hate to eat any more of their food @$12US or drink their wine, @$7/USbottle.

And, if I were younger and unattached, I'd surely hate to date any of those French women who (no shit) are eligible for free physician vaginal improvement exercise classes.

I didn't get a chance to do any bird shooting, but I'd sure hate to walk the heather fields full of grouse behind a Brittany and carrying one of those wimpy French 16 ga SxS.

And I'd really hate to know that the physically and mentally disabled and the old folks are taken care of.

And walking down streets which are swept and washed every night, and Metros that run every two minutes, and trains and airlines which are always on time, now that's just downright capitalistic.

Damn - Socialism sucks big time.
Depends apon who's view.

If you don't pay taxes and think everything is "free" as you appear to do above-

However if your a productive element of the society and are looking at taxes below you are aware of the cost. Same everywhere--you have those footing the tab:( looking at their cost--and those on the tit --actually believing benefits are free and anyone would be crazy not to be for socialism.

--a question about France waiters--do they collect salary vs tips ? The reason I ask is you go on about how cheap the food is yet how much money the waiter makes--I'm having another "Fluers" flashback :SIB
