Like most people who watch basketball in this country, they think that what the Lakers play is basketball. Unfortunately, basketball involves passing, working without the ball, and playing defense. It does not involve trotting up the court lobbing in to a huge man who tries to run over people or letting your skinny guard go 1 on 3 and take a 20 ft fadeaway. Then when he makes one everyone goes wow.

You see, we recognized before the series started that the Pistons played great team basketball, that's why we have them for the series, in props, and in ever game. That's why we are cashing and you are crying. But keep crying, its rather funny.

If anything I thought the Lakers got the best of the officiating with some non-calls on Shaq. Seems to me that Detroit taking it to the rim is what got them on the line more than LA. As I've stated elsewhere Pistons are the better team clearly and anyone who doersn't see that has simply bought into the Hollywood Hype Machine.

Have really enjoyed these posts fellas. And profitable too. Not really much of an NBA fan but got in on Pistons +300 for the series based on the strength of the comments here. I urge Ticali to read the Laker beat writer in this morning's LA Times. He's dealing with reality. One quote particularly caught my eye:
