Man I do not care, If you were S4 in 1969, good for you. I saw a s1 private in 1969, I would be happy to show my DD214. I did not apply myself and made E4 after my 4 year tour. You made a pic of your military ID. We all get that in boot camp. Why did it still show you a private in 1969?

The green military id's expire on your date of separation and issued during receiving. That is his boot camp issued id card hence the lack of unit identification and only his name. Green is active military only.
That is why it shows e-1 and his discharge date.

Mine changed? how do you explain that?
The last Green I had showed was Lance Corporal? prior to my discharge?

What year did you go in? And weren't you a 4 year guy? Generally drafted military spends 2 years active and either 2 or 4 years inactive. They generally didn't reissue green id's to draftees as they usually only spent 17 months in their mos and would have top be issued a new "inactive" id when separating. This practice ceased when they eliminated the draft and 2 year stints.
