Like I said before I'm not big on this Belgium "team" but I think their individual talents pull this one out

Dumb question. I took Columbia -1/2 -1 and they won in penalty kicks but I still lost. Obviously if the ML has better odds I should go that way. I thought the spread meant the winner of the game but I guess not.

My guess would be you took the three way line, which only covers regulation plus stoppage time. The ml was a loser there as well. On 5dimes, you would need to find the line where you are picking which team will advance. If the game is in the group stage, like the euro tourney, it would end in a draw if game was tied at end of regulation and stoppage time. Google handicapping soccer games for a better explanation

THis is correct. WHen you take the 3 way line it is only for the first 90 minutes in this case you took the spread which in this situation is also only for the first 90 minutes If the "spread" was a Pk you would have pushed but they needed to win in 90 minutes by 1 for you to push and win with the bet you placed..as BBD stated there is also a bet you can place in the knockout round for "teams that will advance"...ID def google soccer betting to get a better understanding.. when i type place if I do not type the spread whether -1 or PK its on the 3 way line.. i lost as well.. belgium pretty much cancelled it out for me though
