No, the other lawyers got the $140K so I guess these guys got the $260K. But still.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Sheriff Ken Peterson sez here he woulda had a much easier time murdering Steve than framing him, so no way he or you woulda gone thru all that trouble to railroad the man....Not sure I would like it if my local sheriff talks about how easy it is for him to "eliminate" people.

Thanks for the recommendation.

We've vacationed just south and north of there and it was great to get a peak into the parts of Wisconsin that aren't opened for tourists.

Couple of thoughts

-I would have liked to have learned the IQ of all the participants because those cops seemed unlikely to pull this off (just like Avery) based on intelligence alone

-I've never seen so many non-symmetrical nostrils in my life.

-these are all gun owners.

-these are all packer fans.

watched all episodes and :scared

after last episode i was like 100% sure guy is framed but after reading about it documentary
doesn't mention all evidence cops had. So it isn't 100% documentary but "true case based drama"
with actual persons.

"
Avery had purchased handcuffs and leg irons like the ones Dassey described holding Halbach only three weeks before (Avery said he?s purchased them for use with his girlfriend, Jodi, with whom he?d had a tumultuous relationship ? at one point, he was ordered by police to stay away from her for three days). The bullet with Halbach?s DNA on it came from Avery?s gun, which always hung above his bed.
"
http://www.slashfilm.com/making-a-murderer-theories/

but a few things:

who was caller harassing Halbach ? should have been easy to find out based on number or calling time alibis.

who erased messages ? if Avery had phone it could have had automatic access/password fill in to access phone answer machine/account

why car and it's key were not wrecked right away but left around?

cop found register plate that he knows before car went officially missing ?

Halbach's car was found immediately from yard that holds like thousands of cars ?

but mostly: about the key cops found from trailer, how did they instantly connect
that (magic key) key to the specific RAW4 ?

hard to say if these guys were murders or innocent based on this serie but i lean to,
just like other attorney said, i hope these guys did it. after all Avery had long criminal
record even before that unjust conviction and as judge said later it had an evolving pattern
to harder and harder crimes.

netflix is planning more episodes, interesting to see if prosecutor's view is presented
in more detailed fashion. now they were bad guys all the way no matter what Avery
had done.

Finished it up last night

Then did research about the case online and there are many details left out of the documentary. I do question how many people are in prison that didn't commit the crime? What is your guess percentage wise?

Started watching it last night after my boss recommended it. Have seen episode 1 and about half of episode 2.

I'm baffled.

On the course!
My take is this:

This was in the news every day around here when it happened. None of this is new. Up here, we heard all about the cover-up theories, and so on. I strongly doubt the guy was set up for two separate crimes. This was a small town sheriffs department bumbling around like small town departments do.

This guy had a real shitty past, long before the rape conviction, and the dead photographer. He was in prison TWICE prior to the wrongful rape sentence. Now, I figure you have to be a pretty shitty person for people to want to keep pinning shit on you.

Now, we read all the stories in the paper from people who have seen this documentary. People say things about how if you live in Manitowoc you should fear for you life from the cops. This happened TEN years ago! Manitowoc hasn't been in the national news for all of the police corruption going on, have they? It's because it doesn't happen. This guy is either guilty, or the unluckiest mother fucker on the planet.

Another thing people harp about is how his poor nephew was railroaded because he's a simple idiot. Well, here's a news flash. The prisons are FULL of simple assholes! You go about your life making pretty good choices for the most part, while these simple fuckers do stupid shit like rob, steal, rape, and murder. Believe me....It happens!

Steven Avery used cuffs and leg irons to strap that gal down to rape her. The dimwit nephew says he hopped on, as well. I don't like what they did. These two raped, and then took the life of a young woman.

I thought there was a confession from the guy that raped the first woman. Maybe I'm missing something but I agree on the offense he's serving for now. Something very fishy. OJ's team would have gotten him off because I don't think the testimony from the dimwit should be admissible.

Speaking of OJ- who's going to watch the new show called People VS OJ Simpson on FX?
