The Stop Sign Petition Process has officially concluded the vote phase with Option #1, work with the City of Columbus to make the Stop Signs permanent, carrying the majority of votes cast. With 133 home and/or lot owners, option #1 carried the vote with 85 total, Option #2, Children at Play and Speed Limit signs, carried 10 votes, and option #3, do nothing, carried 11 votes. We had a total of 27 Votes not Cast broken down to 19 Builders that elected to allow the residents of the neighborhood to vote for the majority and 8 residents that could not be contacted and/or have moved and the house is vacant and did not vote via Facebook.
We will reach out to the City of Columbus this week, 3 August, and will confirm our next steps in fulfilling the outcome of this majority vote. Thank you to all that voted and especially to those that volunteered their time to capture the voice of the neighborhood.
