From the mouth of Paul Daley

"Business as usual, what if i dont wanna fight for DANA WHITE/ZUFFA?......Dana white bans me for life from the UFC, Then buys STRIKEFORCE, and thinks im still gonna be EASY and fight on one of the most anticipated fights of the year (vs Diaz)? Which will no doubt make ZUFFA/Dana White money. Daley vs Diaz still on?.....Someone better holla at my manager real quick."

i just watched that whole interview and Dana saying that Coker is still in charge of signings is so silly to believe. He said Coker can go up against him when signing someone. Now who is gonna believe that nonsense :0002 Even A. Hawani (sp)said "unbelieveble" at the end of the tape. :142smilie. So Hendo's contract is up and Coker can go over Dana head or get in a bidding war with the owner of the company :142smilie to sign Hendo again. Cmon Dana sheese.

Wow, didnt see or know this was coming. Not sure about this, from a fan perspective it does potentially open up some possibilities for new fights (blockbusters) if you will. However, with no direct competition I certainly can see Dana low-balling the fighters pay and/or playing favorites, so from that look there are going to be some good fighters left out in the cold. Interesting to watch this play out....

very bad business....verrrry bad...

forget all the other ramifications....this hit`s everybody right in the pocketbook.....

pretty soon,no more free strikeforce cards....and you know that as soon as white controls everything, you`ll be paying for everything(short of a few gimme`s on spike).....some are even writing that this facebook scam is nothing more than an angle to charge people something....

look for fedor to bolt...maybe even daley and a few others...they know what white`s like...

this is verrry bad....

with this mofo controlling everything, the fans will suffer....book that...

sad day for mma fans...

Remember back in the wrestling days when Ted Turner came in and bought the WCW. Paid guys big bucks and ran a great product which took over the ratings from the monopoly the WWE and Vince Mcmahon was having. WWE was really stale back then and the WCW forced WWE into making a better product which they did. That is what competition does. Nobdy to push the UFC anymore.

Sooner than later: Zuffa PPVs will cost 200 bucks a pop, while the opening fighters on the card fight for 150 each. Monopoly.

The NFL seems to do pretty well without direct competition.

the nfl is heading toward ppv.....the nfl network is a diluted form of it.....and it`s gonna get worse....

g.k. has it right,imo...monopoly=bad... particularly with white running things....

and the fighters?...man,he treats them like shit now....with this new wrinkle, the top dogs have fewer and fewer options...

do what dana says..fight like dana wants you to fight..toe the line....or look for a real job...

everybody`s entitled to their opinion,.but i don`t like it...

The NFL already is PPV for the most part unless you like the team in your city. The NFL ticket is PPV.

Fighters are indeed going to be in no position to argue salary. I mean what are they going to do??
Dream is not even an option since they don't pay period.

I am guessing that they want CBS still so will not stab Showtime in the back but I guarantee Dana will try to pull out of Showtime ASAP if no CBS type deal.
CBS is going to want the big fights as well and Dana will continue to insist on PPV.

Who thinks a Overeem/Barnett fight will really be on Showtime now??
Not me. That is PPV bound.

Gary there are three good games a week. They might have ten terrible teams in the league. They do okay but take away ten teams and the league would be fantastic with high caliber play.

I disagree. A good game does not have to be a 28-27 thriller. There are lots of interesting match ups every week. The thing about pro sports is that it has to be interesting. I haven't watched an NBA game in a long time, and I like basketball. The NBA has diluted the talent pool through expansion and 9/10 of the match ups seem like David V Goliath.

Strikeforce has a hard time staying interesting. Their championship belts are worthless because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to who fights for them. The HW tourney caught my interest, then lost it by spreading the first round fights out over the course of six months.

People can say all they want about Dana, but he keeps my attention and the sport is always interesting. The cards I am most disappointed in tend to be the ones that deliver the best fights. They are doing everything right and I'd rather see the UFC get more opportunities to deliver great shows, and that is what this move essentially does.
