DTB, I believe Clarke has a lower than average trajectory on his ball flight. He tends to punch through the ball as opposed to sweeping the ball off the turf. As to him playing in the rain, he's grown up in pretty wet places so I guess he is not unused to such conditions.

Do u think the weather is going to have a significant impact on the greens? The speed at Bellsouth cost a lot of players, but does Augusta have the ability to get them back up to speed in a short amount of time? Even with all the course changes, the greens will always be Augusta's primary defense but with projected rain for wed, thurs and fri is this going to have an impact on how the tournament plays out?

Hey guys...I'm in a deal with some guys here at work where we basically pick any 7 golfers and low total score wins...There's about 25 guys in it so the same golfer can be on multiple teams, most everyone has Tiger as one of the 7....Just wondering who some of the golf experts on here would take....Thanks for any advice.

few early 72 holes

Kuchar -115 over Scott @365
Scott finding its a different ball game stateside,Kuchar played well here as amateur twice.

Garcia -105 over Duval @ 365
OK will fade once

@ WSEX

Estes +140 over McCarron
I think this is dead heat and look for line to relect that later.

Kuchar +140 over Howell
Howell has not hit a lick since putting woes.Tough place to try an regain it with no course experience.
Some dandy props being dropped @ Cascade if one could forsee the weather--

a couple props @ Cascade
36 hole score under 137 1/2 + 100
Hoping for some soft greens and maybe LC&P
Daly 1st rd score over 72 1/2 +100
Go for it JD.

Wonder how they grade these o/u on even #'s like 71 It would appear they collect both ways if it hits on # since it is neither O or U??

365 has wagers w/o Tiger at reduced odds plus only 4 places while with him is 5places.Huge weight to give up considering only scenario it would pay greater is if Tiger goes 1st and selection 2nd. Am I missing something here?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
adding prop @ Cascade
Tiger finishing place under 5 +100
Beats the hell out of Oly's top 4 @ -150

Surrey Sports has a Hole in One during the tournament at 11/4. Does anyone know of any statistics regarding H-i-Os around Augusta. 1st instinct is to play it but with a smaller field than normal am a little unsure.

Prop play:

Tiger Woods to finish better than 5th +100 @ Cascade [2 units]
Forget regular Tour events, Woods has been gearing his season towards this event, has finished in the top-5 in the last two Masters and the course changes eliminate a lot of players from contending this week. Also a hedge play should he win this event and deny one of the outright picks a handsome profit.

Thanks to DTB for bringing this to my attention ;)

The last Hole in One was 1996 at The Masters so I would be more inclined to take the odds on that there is not an ace, although if you a working on the theory that an ace is overdue you may get lucky.

The Par 3 16th offers the best chance of an ace especially when the Pin is short left.

Thanks Captain Hook, I would have thought there had been a few more since then. I think with the ability to tuck pins away at Augusta reduces the liklihood of such an eventuality. I agree the only real chance will be Sunday with the pin on 16, but I think I'll pass.

Years of misery about to come to an end??

For the first time in two years the temptation has got the better of me...but I feel good about myself!!!

My first rule of golf betting has been adapted to state...never back Davis Love at under 40/1....which means, at 66 he has to be backed this week....great course record...positive about his game...brilliant at times this year...the price compensates for all the doubts.

Not much other value about imo...sticky mitts on a variety of vouchers.... Ollie 80 & 66, Daly 66, Bjorn 125, Mediate 120, Goose 33, Macaroon 80...will probably find a few more if I look through the accounts carefully.

Duval 22/1 ew at Sports.com..Got to go with record here..Hard to tell what is going on between ears, so going with him until he shows that even though he is concentrating on top events, he cannot win them...
Harrington 80/1 ew Ladbrokes (66/1 now)..Good steady finish last week..hope he has learned to wait..Course changes should suit..Might be the next Scott Hoch..we will see on Sunday when he has 3 footer to win!
Backed Olly and Els already at fancy prices, so only two here..
Hole in one price about right as Sportingodds have 1/3 there not to be hole in one.
Might back Weir later as backed last week, although he is starting to look wobbly in R4!

Placed a few bets a couple of weeks ago.
Olazabal 50/1 and Els 20/1. Don't know what I was thinking at the time but I also put some on Mickelson at 16/1.

a couple 1st rounders @ 5Dimes
Calc -110 over Cink
Calc -107 over Couples

Going out on a limb prior to drawing but taking a flyer on Calc who fired a 65 here in practice rd from the tips in March.Had 9 birdies so he should go in event with good vibes.

And speaking of prior to draw, will lay even money Woods gets paired with Omeara.

Turtle,
Thanks for the missed cuts.

If you hole in one'rs think the only real chance is on the 16th sports.com have betting on the hole it will be achieved:
4th Hole 7/1
6th Hole 10/1
12th Hole 14/1
16th Hole 9/2
No Hole in One 1/3

But if taking the 9/2 it would be a *isser if it happened on another hole

Would like to take gander at the NZ connections takes. And what about Gav haven't communicated with him in over year.By the way big T will be rubbing that Tiki this week lol and great job on NBA this year.
Your in-law Big C has become quite a golf analysist in his own right;)
