Preview: Mariners (21-26) at Athletics (18-25)

It took the Oakland Athletics almost two months to win three straight games. Recording their first three-game sweep of the season might be an even tougher challenge with Erik Bedard standing in the way.

Bedard looks to continue his recent dominance of the A's while trying to prevent the Seattle Mariners from losing a season-high sixth straight road game Wednesday.

Oakland (18-25) has benefited from solid pitching and timely hitting to take the first two games of the series and win three in a row for the first time in 2009. Jason Giambi's two-run single highlighted a four-run seventh inning in Oakland's 4-3 comeback victory Tuesday.

"We've all been playing ball for a while," said Tuesday's winning pitcher, Dallas Braden. "We all know what a streak feels like, but we don't want to get too excited about it."

That's because Oakland is last in the majors in slugging (.356), and near the bottom in runs (193) and batting average (.244). That makes facing Bedard (2-2, 2.64 ERA) a daunting task as the Mariners ace tries for a fourth straight victory over the last-place A's.

Bedard, 3-3 with a 3.07 ERA in nine starts against Oakland, has not allowed a run in his last 16 innings versus the A's. He gave up three hits and struck out seven in 8 1-3 innings of a 1-0 victory at Oakland on April 12.

The left-hander has allowed one run and six hits while striking out 22 batters in 22 innings over his last three starts against the A's.

Making his first start after missing one due to hamstring tightness, Bedard yielded a pair of solo homers and struck out six while throwing 95 pitches in five innings of a 3-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday.

"His pitch count kept him to five innings, but his (right) hamstring was fine," manager Don Wakamatsu told the Mariners' official Web site.

Bedard, who has not allowed more than three runs in any of his eight starts this year, could use some support from a club that's last in the majors with 174 runs and has scored four in this series.

The Mariners (21-26) have batted .201 while being limited to 12 runs during their five-game road losing streak. They're 2-12 on the road after winning six in a row away from home.

Seattle, which placed catcher Kenji Johjima on the disabled list Tuesday with a broken toe, is likely to be without designated hitter Mike Sweeney after he left the team's last contest with back spasms.

Ichiro Suzuki singled and drove in a run to extend his hitting streak to 20 games. Suzuki is batting .375 during that span and is 10 for 25 (.400) against the A's this season.

Oakland rookie Trevor Cahill (2-4, 4.62) faces Seattle for the third time this season. He is 0-1 with a 1.38 ERA versus the Mariners, and he allowed one run in six innings of a 3-2 road win against them May 2.

The 21-year-old Cahill gave up two runs and six hits while striking out five in a career-high 7 1-3 innings of a 2-1 loss at Arizona on Friday. Despite losing his second straight start, the right-hander pitched better after allowing seven runs in a season-low 2 1-3 innings of an 11-7 loss at Detroit on May 17.

"I've always been pretty good at putting the past behind me and maintaining the same confidence," Cahill told the A's official Web site.

Oakland has won three of four against Seattle after losing the first four meetings this season.

Florida Marlins (21-26) at Philadelphia Phillies (25-19), 7:05 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Florida - Burke Badenhop (2-2, 5.75) Philadelphia - Brett Myers (4-2, 4.34)

The last thing the Florida Marlins need is an injury to All-Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez. The Marlins will most likely be without Ramirez tonight, when they wrap up a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Ramirez left Tuesday's 5-3 loss in the third inning with tightness in his right groin, and his status is day-to-day. The slugging infielder may have tweaked the muscle while legging out an infield hit in the top of the third. He is batting .320 with eight homers and 22 RBI this season and was replaced by third baseman Emilio Bonifacio. Wes Helms then came on to play third base for the Marlins, who had a brief two-game winning streak stopped and lost for the 12th time in 16 games.

"I don't know. I'm going to go day by day and see how I feel," Ramirez told the team's Web site in reference to his availability for Wednesday.

Cody Ross finished with three hits and starter Andrew Miller was dealt the loss for allowing four runs -- two earned -- on seven hits and four walks through six innings. Miller also struck out four batters in defeat.

Florida, which will also visit the New York Mets for three games, will send Burke Badenhop to the South Philly mound Wednesday and he will make his first start of the season. In 11 relief appearances this season, Badenhop is 2-2 with a 5.75 earned run average. He last took the mound in a 10-3 loss versus Tampa Bay on May 23 and gave up a run and three hits over 1 2/3 innings.

The right-hander faced the Phillies on April 26 this season in a 13-2 defeat and pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts. Badenhop is 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA in two relief stints against the Phillies in his career, spanning 3 2/3 innings. He will try to pitch the Marlins to their first series win since taking two of three games in Colorado from May 8-10.

Philadelphia got its act together at home with last night's victory and improved to 9-13 as the host, as opposed to their impressive 16-6 ledger away from Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies received a stellar performance from starting pitcher Joe Blanton last night and the right-hander hurled seven shutout innings, scattered five hits and fanned a career-high 11 batters.

Blanton walked just a pair of hitters before Ryan Madson threw a scoreless inning of relief, while Chad Durbin had a shaky ninth and yielded three runs -- two earned -- on a throwing error by first baseman Ryan Howard. It was Howard's first error of the season. Scott Eyre then couldn't get an out and closer Brad Lidge shook off some recent rust by retiring two batters for his ninth save of the season.

"It felt really good," Lidge said of his performance. "I walked the first guy, but I put myself right where I needed to be and for whatever reason it felt like last year."

Lidge went 2-0 with a 1.95 ERA and 41 saves in 41 opportunities last year for Philadelphia, which will host the Washington Nationals for three games over the weekend.

Brett Myers will try to extend his unbeaten streak when he takes the mound for the Phils this evening. Myers is unbeaten over his last four starts (3-0) and won his second straight outing on Saturday in a 7-3 road victory over the New York Yankees in the Bronx.

Myers was not intimidated by the new Yankee Stadium and pitched eight innings of three-run ball, allowing eight hits with five strikeouts and no walks. Myers, who is 0-2 in four home starts this season, improved to 4-2 with a 4.34 earned run average in nine starts this season.

The right-hander will take on Florida for the second time this season and did not factor in the outcome of a 7-3 victory over the Marlins on April 24. Myers permitted three runs and eight hits over six innings that day and is 6-10 with a 5.53 ERA through 29 games (23 starts) in his career against the Marlins.

Philadelphia swept a three-game set in Florida from April 24-26 and has won six of the last seven matchups between the teams.

Philadelphia starters seem to finally be settling down after a poor start. Brett Myers has certainly done his part to shore up the Phillies' rotation.

After getting perhaps their best effort from a starter this season, the Phillies turn to Myers as they conclude a three-game set with the Florida Marlins on Wednesday night.

Philadelphia (25-19) tied this series and remained in sole possession of first place in the NL East with a 5-3 win over Florida (21-26) on Tuesday night. The Phillies got an outstanding performance from Joe Blanton, who struck out a career-high 11 in seven scoreless innings.

Despite that effort from Blanton, who lowered his ERA from 7.11 to 6.14, Philadelphia's starters haven't performed as well as the team hoped with a 5.86 ERA for the season.

Over the last eight games, however, the rotation has gone 4-2 with a 3.96 ERA.

Myers (4-2, 4.34 ERA) has pitched well the past two weeks, going 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA in three starts. The veteran right-hander gave up three runs and did not walk a batter in eight innings to earn a win Friday night as Philadelphia beat the New York Yankees 7-3.

Myers faced the Marlins on April 24, walking a season-high six but throwing five scoreless innings after giving up three runs in the first before the Phillies rallied for a 7-3 win. He's 6-10 with a 5.53 ERA in 23 starts and six relief appearances versus Florida.

While Philadelphia's rotation is showing signs of becoming more consistent, finishing games has been a struggle for Brad Lidge.

Lidge, though, avoided blowing a third straight save Tuesday, walking a batter before recording the final two outs to escape a bases-loaded jam. It was the ninth save in 13 chances for Lidge, who converted all 48 of his opportunities last year - including playoffs - but has an 8.85 ERA this season.

"It felt really good," Lidge told the Phillies' official Web site. "For whatever reason, it felt like last year."

Lidge is 12 for 12 in save chances against the Marlins, posting a 0.39 ERA and a .177 opponents' batting average.

Phillies pitchers may get a break Wednesday with Hanley Ramirez's status uncertain. The All-Star shortstop left Tuesday's game in the third with tightness in his groin.

"I'm going to go day by day and see how I feel," he said.

Ramirez, batting .320 with eight homers and 22 RBIs, was replaced at shortstop by third baseman Emilio Bonifacio. Wes Helms entered the game at third.

Florida could use steady play from whoever is on the field Wednesday with Burke Badenhop (2-2, 5.75) set to make his first start since June 3. Badenhop, who has made 11 relief appearances this season, is getting a start with injuries and inconsistency hurting the Marlins' rotation.

The right-hander went 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA as a starter last year. He's faced the Phillies twice - both in relief - surrendering one run and two hits in 3 2-3 innings.

Badenhop will face a Phillies lineup that is batting .281 with 20 home runs while averaging 6.0 runs over its last 12 games, winning nine.

Shane Victorino remains hot for Philadelphia, going 4 for 5 on Tuesday. The center fielder is 11 for 23 (.478) over his past five games and has hit .435 (10 for 23) with nine RBIs in five games versus the Marlins this season.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Houston - Felipe Paulino (1-3, 6.90) Cincinnati - Bronson Arroyo (6-3, 5.79)

Enigmatic right-hander Bronson Arroyo takes the mound for the 10th time this season tonight when the Cincinnati Reds host the Houston Astros in the finale of a three-game National League Central series at Great American Ball Park.

The Reds enter the finale having taken the first two games of the matchup, including a 6-4 victory in game two on Tuesday night.

Cincinnati sits third in the six-team division, 1 1/2 games behind the first- place pair of Milwaukee and St. Louis, while the Astros are last, 6 1/2 games behind the Reds and eight off the pace of the Brewers and Cardinals.

On Tuesday, Joey Votto hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning, lifting Cincy to the win. Laynce Nix also homered as part of a two-hit night, while Ramon Hernandez hit a key two-run single for the Reds, who have won three in a row.

Micah Owings allowed three runs on six hits and four walks in a five-inning start for the Reds, but did not factor into the decision.

Nick Masset (2-0), who was activated off the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, pitched a scoreless seventh inning to get the win. Francisco Cordero threw a scoreless ninth to pick up his 13th save this season.

Roy Oswalt surrendered four runs on seven hits in a six-inning start for the Astros, whose losing streak reached a season-high six games.

Oswalt has faced the Reds three times this season, but hasn't picked up a decision in any of the contests. Tim Byrdak (0-1) took the loss after giving up Votto's homer.

Ivan Rodriguez hit a two-run double for Houston, while Edwin Maysonet went 2- for-4 with an RBI. Jeff Keppinger hit a solo homer in the loss.

Arroyo, meanwhile, won his first three starts of the season and has alternated wins and losses since, beginning with a 10-2 defeat against the Atlanta Braves on April 25 and continuing through a 3-1 win against interleague rival Cleveland on May 22.

In the win over the Indians, Arroyo allowed just five hits and a run in eight innings while walking two, striking out two and lowering his season's earned run average from 6.56 to 5.79.

He's been tagged for five or more runs four times in nine starts, while allowing one or zero runs in three other outings.

Somewhere in between was a 4-3 defeat of the Astros on April 20 in Houston, when Arroyo allowed nine hits and three runs in seven innings.

Lifetime against the Astros, he is 6-6 in 21 games - 15 starts - with a 5.49 ERA in 101 2/3 innings.

For Houston, young right-hander Felipe Paulino faces the Reds for the third time in 2009.

The 25-year-old Dominican, who'd made just five major-league appearances prior to this season, got a no-decision in his 2009 debut against Cincinnati on April 19 after tossing six scoreless innings of three-hit ball in a game the Astros lost, 4-2.

He faced them again 10 days later in Texas and took a loss after giving up six hits and one earned run in 5 2/3 innings, dropping a 3-0 verdict.

He made one start against the Reds in 2008 and won it, putting his career numbers against them at 16 2/3 innings pitched, 17 hits and six earned runs allowed, with five walks and 11 strikeouts.

He's made two starts and pitched in relief twice since his last victory, which came May 2 at Atlanta. In the four subsequent games, he's 0-1 with a blown save and has allowed 17 earned runs on 21 hits in 10 1/3 innings.

The Reds have won six of nine versus the Astros so far this year.

Preview: Astros (18-26) at Reds (25-20)

Over the past few seasons, the Cincinnati Reds had virtually no luck against the Houston Astros when they came to Great American Ball Park. That is no longer the case.

The surprising Reds look to win their fourth in a row and sweep a home series over the slumping Astros for the first time in five years Wednesday night in the finale of a three-game set.

In Tuesday's 6-4 win over Houston (18-26), Joey Votto's two-run homer in the seventh inning broke a 4-all tie, lifting the Reds (25-20) to their third straight win. Cincinnati, which had dropped six of its previous eight, has not won four consecutive games since Sept. 13-17.

Before a 3-0 win over the Astros on April 29, the Reds had lost 11 straight and 17 of 18 to Houston at Great American Ball Park. The Reds, who are 1 1/2 games behind NL Central leaders Milwaukee and St. Louis, have not swept a series over the Astros at home since a four-game set May 21-24, 2004.

"I look at every guy in the clubhouse and I feel like everyone is contributing," Votto told the Reds' official Web site. "It's probably the first team I've been on that really felt like that. It feels like everyone is working together."

Votto, who has missed nine games over the past three weeks because of dizziness caused by an inner-ear infection, has three home runs in his last two starts and five in his last 21 at_bats.

"(Tuesday's) really the first game I've felt pretty good," said Votto, who is second in the NL with a .364 average.

He's 1 for 9 with a homer lifetime versus Felipe Paulino (1-3, 6.90 ERA), who starts Wednesday for Houston.

Bronson Arroyo (6-3, 5.79) takes the ball for the Reds looking to win back-to-back starts for the first time since opening the season with three consecutive victories.

Arroyo gave up one run, five hits and two walks in eight innings of a 3-1 win over Cleveland on Friday, his first home victory since April 9. The right-hander had been tagged for 18 runs over 6 2-3 innings in losing his previous two starts at Great American Ball Park.

He beat Houston on April 20, allowing three runs and nine hits in seven innings of a 4-3 win. He's 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA in four starts against the Astros in Cincinnati.

The last-place Astros have lost a season-high six straight after winning seven of 10. This is their longest skid since losing eight in a row June 11-19.

"I think I'm doing everything I can - changing the lineup, moving people around, that's all you can do," Houston manager Cecil Cooper told the team's official Web site. "That's all you can do - you change the lineup, you try to motivate them every day. That's all you can do."

Paulino allowed four runs and seven hits in 5 1-3 innings of Friday's 6-5, 10-inning loss to Texas after yielding eight runs in four innings of a 12-1 loss at Colorado on May 12.

Paulino has been at his best this season against Cincinnati, but he doesn't have a victory to show for it. In two starts versus the Reds, Paulino has given up two runs and nine hits over 11 2-3 innings, but has been backed by one run of support.

A lack of offensive help has been an ongoing problem for Paulino this season. In five starts, he's received three total runs of support.

Tampa Bay Rays (23-25) at Cleveland Indians (19-28), 7:05 p.m.

Tampa Bay Rays (23-25) at Cleveland Indians (19-28), 7:05 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Tampa Bay - Andy Sonnanstine (3-4, 6.60) Cleveland - Zach Jackson (0-0, 5.79)

The Tampa Bay Rays haven't managed to beat the Cleveland Indians on the road in more than three years. Not having their double-play combination on the field isn't helping the defending American League champions break that winless spell.

The injury-plagued Rays will be out to halt a string of 15 straight defeats at Progressive Field when they take on the Indians tonight.

After allowing seven ninth-inning runs in a shocking 11-10 loss during Monday's series opener, Tampa's run of misfortune in Cleveland continued with last night's 5-1 setback to the Tribe. The Indians belted four home runs to help back seven strong innings out of starting pitcher Carl Pavano.

Pavano (5-4) limited the Rays to one run and four hits to win for the fifth time in his last six starts. The right-hander had a shutout going until serving up a solo homer to Carlos Pena in the seventh.

"Pavano has pitched very well against us," said Rays manager Joe Maddon. "He has very good command of his off-speed pitches and he kept us off balance throughout the game."

Mark DeRosa went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer for Cleveland, which has now won five of its last seven contests, while Asdrubal Cabrera, Ryan Garko and Kelly Shoppach all had solo shots on the night.

Rays starter Matt Garza (4-3) gave up three of the Indians' four long balls and four runs total over his six-inning stint.

Tampa Bay will attempt to earn its first victory in Cleveland since September 28, 2005 with a revamped lineup, due to recent injuries to second baseman Akinori Iwamura and shortstop Jason Bartlett. Iwamura suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his left knee during a loss to Florida on Sunday, while Bartlett was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday with a sprained ankle that has kept him out of the first two games of this series.

Bartlett currently ranks second in the AL with a .373 average and has already set a career high with seven home runs. Iwamura was batting .310 with eight stolen bases in 44 games.

The Rays also have designated hitter Pat Burrell (neck strain), starting pitcher Scott Kazmir (quadriceps strain) and closer Troy Percival (shoulder tendinitis) on the DL at the moment.

Andy Sonnanstine will try to stop the bleeding for Tampa Bay in tonight's matchup. The right-hander brings a two-start winning streak into this evening's tilt and is coming off one of his best efforts of the season.

Against the Florida Marlins this past Friday, Sonnanstine yielded just one run and five hits through six innings of his team's 15-2 triumph. Although he owns a subpar 6.60 earned run average for the season, Sonnanstine has allowed two or less runs in three of his last five starts.

The 26-year-old also posted a victory over the Indians back on May 17, although he was touched for five runs in 5 2/3 innings in that game. Sonnanstine also batted third in the Tampa Bay lineup that day due to a lineup-card mixup and contributed an RBI double to the Rays' win.

The Ohio native, a product of nearby Kent State University, has faced the Indians three times overall and is 1-2 with a 7.41 ERA against tonight's opponent.

Zach Jackson, recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, will take the mound for Cleveland tonight and makes his first major-league start of the season. The left-hander is taking the rotation spot of Anthony Reyes, who was placed on the disabled list over the weekend with elbow inflammation that may require surgery.

Jackson went 3-2 with a 3.09 ERA in seven appearances, including four starts, for the Clippers. He also pitched twice in relief with the Indians last month and allowed three runs over a 4 2/3-inning span.

The 26-year-old made nine starts for Cleveland last season and compiled a 2-3 record with a 5.60 ERA. This will be Jackson' first-ever encounter with the Rays.

Tampa Bay won three of four clashes with the Indians in St. Petersburg from May 14-17.

Preview: Rays (23-25) at Indians (19-28)

The Tampa Bay Rays fared much better last year when Jason Bartlett provided little impact in the lineup. Now, they won't get any production from the shortstop.

With Bartlett on the disabled list, the Rays look to avoid losing their 16th straight on the road against the Cleveland Indians as the teams continue a four-game series Wednesday night.

After its surprising pennant run last season, Tampa Bay (23-25) is going to have a tough time catching up in the tough AL East.

The Rays are in danger of losing four straight for the first time this season after dropping the first two contests in this series. They fell 5-1 on Tuesday, a day after letting a 10-run lead slip away in an 11-10 defeat - the biggest collapse in Tampa Bay history.

Tampa Bay hasn't beaten the Indians (19-28) in Cleveland since a 1-0 win Sept. 28, 2005, and its chances of ending that skid haven't gotten any better with Bartlett being put on the DL with a sprained left ankle before Tuesday's game.

Bartlett is having a career season, batting .373 with 30 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. He's already set a career high with seven homers.

Rookie Reid Brignac started Tuesday and went 1 for 3 in place of Bartlett, who joins second baseman Akinori Iwamura (season-ending knee injury), closer Troy Percival (shoulder), designated hitter Pat Burrell (neck), ace Scott Kazmir (quadriceps) and four others on Tampa Bay's DL.

"A lot of guys are going on the DL, but we have to push through this," Tampa Bay right fielder Ben Zobrist said. "Last year we had guys go down and other guys stepped up. We have to do that again."

With Bartlett out, the Rays went hitless in 10 at_bats with runners in scoring position. Carlos Pena and Carl Crawford, however, were bright spots.

Pena hit his AL-leading 16th homer and Crawford had a stolen base, giving him 30 in 30 attempts. He has not been caught in 32 tries since July 18.

The Rays will try to end their slide against Zach Jackson (0-0, 5.79 ERA), who was recalled Tuesday and will make his first start of the season. The left-hander made two relief outings for the Indians before being optioned to Triple-A Columbus on April 21.

In seven appearances, including four starts with the Clippers, Jackson went 3-2 with a 3.09 ERA. He's 4-5 with a 5.58 ERA in 16 career major league starts.

This will be Jackson's first appearance against the Rays.

He could certainly use some support from an Indians lineup that has come alive of late, averaging 5.8 runs en route to winning five of seven games.

"It's good to get a couple of wins in a row," Cleveland left fielder Mark DeRosa said.

Ryan Garko homered for the third time in two games Tuesday, giving him four this season. The first baseman is batting .348 (16 for 46) with four homers, six doubles and 16 RBIs in his last 12 home games against the Rays.

Garko, though, is 1 for 6 against the Rays' Andy Sonnanstine (3-4, 6.60).

The right-hander gave up one run and five hits in six innings in a 15-2 rout of Florida on Friday. He posted a 14.09 ERA in his previous two outings.

Sonnanstine surrendered five runs and seven hits in 5 2-3 innings against the Indians on May 17, but earned a decision in the 7-5 victory. He's 1-2 with a 7.41 ERA in three career starts versus Cleveland.

New York Yankees (26-20) at Texas Rangers (27-18), 8:05 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: New York - A.J. Burnett (2-2, 5.28) Texas - Derek Holland (1-1, 4.82)

After a late-night win on Tuesday, the Texas Rangers go for a series victory this evening when they play the rubber match of their three- game series against the New York Yankees at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Following a nearly 2 1/2 hour rain delay, Chris Davis clubbed a pair of homers to lift Texas to a 7-3 win. Jarrod Saltalamacchia smacked the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning and Marlon Byrd added a two-run base hit for the Rangers, who won for the fourth time in five contests.

They've also captured nine of their last 10 home games.

Jason Jennings (2-1) picked up the win, right after Kevin Millwood threw the first 5 2/3 frames, giving up nine hits and three runs.

Mark Teixeira belted a solo homer, while Brett Gardner had three hits and scored a run for the Yankees, who lost for just the third time in their last 14 games.

The Yankees had plenty of opportunities on Tuesday, but were a dismal 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left 12 men on base.

Gardner wasn't in the starting lineup, but was thrust into action when center fielder Melky Cabrera left the game with a strained right shoulder. Cabrera was injured in the first inning when he crashed into the wall trying to come up with Ian Kinsler's leadoff triple. The injury does not appear to be serious but he will have an MRI on Wednesday and will likely miss tonight's tilt.

Yankees starter Joba Chamberlain was lifted after surrendering four hits and three runs in four frames. He was been knocked out early in his previous start after a line drive struck him in the right knee.

"He just had a hard time commanding his fastball tonight," said Yankees manager Joe Girardi. "Maybe that's the result of throwing only one inning in the last 10 days because of the injury, but physically he was fine."

Alfredo Aceves (3-1) was charged with the loss, surrendering three runs and four hits in two innings.

Getting the call for the Rangers tonight will be lefty Derek Holland, who will be making his second big league start. After seven relief appearances Holland started against the Houston Astros on Friday and allowed three runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings, but did not factor in the decision of his team's 6-5 win.

In eight games this season Holland, who has never faced the Yankees, has pitched to a 4.82 ERA with a 1-1 record.

New York, meanwhile, will counter with right-hander A.J. Burnett, who is winless in his last seven starts. Burnett absorbed the loss on Friday against Philadelphia, as he allowed five runs and eight hits in six innings to fall to 2-2 on the season, while raising his ERA to 5.28.

Burnett is 1-2 lifetime against the Rangers with a 4.72 ERA in six games (five starts).

Texas took four of seven from the Yankees last season, but New York has won 13 of its last 16 in Arlington.
