Yeah SW......he is really going to be a problem. No doubt there, but too much can happen in a race, so +650 to win and -150 in matchups is tough to do.

Huck, Where in this wide world did you find the 9 car at +3000 any time this week? I am looking for more NASCAR outs. Thanks, Ticker

Huck, congrats. I personally didn't think Bill would make it back to back but 30-1! Sweet.

The best I found anywhere at anytime was 15-1 on Elliot. I presume the 30-1 was at Pinnacle again?

Mryon...thanks. Matchups were very unlucky ( a lot of breakdowns) but "Awesome Bill" was just that once again.

Feel like it's 1985.....unreal that he has won 2 races in a row.

Email me.

Huck It was a nice shot on that 9 car. They don't win back to back very much. That of course is why the odds were so good. No body gave him that much of a chance. This guy can get on a role. But will he do three in a row? That would be tough.

i'm pretty confident the road course at watkins glen next week will put an end to elliot's win streak.

if jeff gordon doesn't win this week i won't be surprised if he finishes the season with zero wins.

In practice for Watkins Glen Stewart and Johnson were fastest. I also wouldn't count out Ron Fellows, Robby Gordon, Mark Martin or possibly Kurt Busch who was very impressive at Sear's Point.

Points race is interesting now. Marlin looked home and cooled out before the race but now he finds several within 200 points and Marlin will surely lose ground to Gordon, Martin and Stewart (and possibly Johnson) on the road course.

Assuming Gordon wins and leads most laps and Marlin finishes mid pack then Gordon could find himself less than 50 points back. It would be something if Jeff wins it with less than 2 wins.

Huck what's your email address.

It is really amazing to me that Gordon is in the race for the points lead. He has not been good in many races all year but always seems to finish fairly good. His pit stops this year are extremely poor.

Did anyone notice how he got outrun down the straights yesterday? He does not have the horses under the hood. That was really amazing to me.

But, he ends up finishing sixth with a 15th (if that) place car!

Consistency is the key in NASCAR and Gordon is proving that this year.

Myron,
I sent you an email at the address you provided but it was returned as "user unknown" or something.

You can email me at huckleberry1820@aol.com

And yeah Homedog.......Gordon is finding a way to get his top 10's somehow with cars that don't see to be that good. I have to think that this will end up costing him some very valuable points come Sept. and Oct. if he cannot contend for race wins.

Then again, maybe the cars will get better and he will manage a few more top 5's and even some...uggghh....wins. I have the 40 car to win the title and really need him to hold on. I really don't want to be on the wrong side of something that hasn't happened in 8 years (point leader at halfway has won the title every year since 1993).

Marlin

Marlin

I like Marlin alot and he is very consistent, but I hate to say that I think he won't be able to pull it off. The trend has to go down sooner or later.

For the championship. Responding to Huck's comment about having the 40 car to win the championship and really needing him to hold on.
